Chance trip to Amberg with good success.

By chance, we ended up in Amberg during our travels and booked the Bootshaus based on a previous television report. That was a very good choice; the hotel is very elaborately and tastefully restored, located very centrally right by the river. All contacts, reception, service, and restaurant provided exceptionally nice and friendly attention. The food on the terrace is of great quality. So, it is definitely and fully recommendable, and we are planning a return soon.

Average hotel - noisy and only with a portable air-conditioning unit. 'Comfort' room was a room for disabled people. Even a double bed would be prepared for a single person, single pillow and single blanket. Showering will make the whole bathroom wet and only a single towel is provided.

Highly recommended

We stayed for two nights in the boathouse.
Even the friendly and cordial nature of the reception staff at check-in surprised us a lot.
The single room is small, cozy, functional and lovingly furnished in the attic.
Admirable is the grandiose implementation of the requirements of monument protection, the hotel industry and catering. This is completely consistent and great.
Also the food Mega delicious great prepared and absolutely recommended. The whole thing is rounded off by an extremely friendly and attentive Service.
You can congratulate the management and keep your fingers crossed that it will continue.

Old town – experience

From a group of old buildings in a prime location, a beautifully designed boutique hotel was created here with great attention to detail. The food was good, the beer selection tempting and the staff very accommodating. However, people with a height of over 1.75 m should avoid the single rooms under the roof, which are only suitable for small and mobile people who like to climb stairs.

This was our second stay at Bootshaus Amberg and it continued to exceed our expectations. The beds and down comforters are amazing and we slept great. Their in-house restaurant and authentic German breakfast were delicious. We enjoyed a dinner there as well and the ambiance and decor make for a welcoming and delicious meal. We also enjoyed a beer out on their deck over the river. Delightful. Their staff is exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend to anyone staying in Amberg!
