nosy rooms (you won‘t sleep much) and you loose time searching a parking space

We stayed for some days at the Hotel Hermitage in Royan and i liked the location and room, but we didn‘t sleep well or long enough due to the loud buzzing noises of the air cons in the rooms of other guests and the deep drone in the mornings from the elevator as we had a room not far from it. The hotel advertises free parking spots but the hotel hasn‘t parking spaces of it‘s own and the parking spots just behind the hotel are in the blue zone (max 1 to 1.5 hours stay possible) so you have to hunt for a free parking spot in town (best chances are around the cathedral). Avoid the hotel on weekends as young guests book just one or two nights to attend parties in town and they make a lot of noise in their room, but as there‘s no staff from 21:00 on you can‘t ask anybody to talk to the kids.

Coming once, forces us to go back

Located in the active and festive center of Royan, ten steps from the seafront and two steps from free parking this comfortable hotel offers from the room with terrace a beautiful view of the marina, and the brand new esplanade dotted with restaurants. Welcoming is of the warmest , hearty and varied breakfasts. At each of my visits to Royan my definitive choice is for this hotel which brings me all satisfactions. Only downside the narrowness of the elevator, that is .....

Not to be missed and recommended

We spent a night with 2 couples and enjoyed a remarkable stay.
Both by the room, spacious and very clean. As for the staff, the kindness and professionalism were there. An absolutely fabulous and complete breakfast possible, at the level of choice. Dominique and Brigitte

Nice hotel

Great location. Off season easy parking. Soundproofing correct. The room is decent, comfortable bed, small desk with chair and kettle, closet to store his things decent. The only point, which makes me put only 4 stars is the SDB.... about 1.20m to 1.30m by 1.20m to 1.30m.... small... with a door that opens inwards and therefore limits space. Toilet closet, hair dryer, towel, clean, even if an antique hair.
Very positive point, the kindness of the staff and the full breakfast buffet and there is plenty to please. The drinks available in the lobby are at a decent price.
