Excellent midweek meal with friendly and welcoming staff.
A meal accessible to all and homemade as we like. Come and discover with family and friends. Booking beforehand to avoid this event would be a shame.

Very bad experience

Very bad experience for us.
Very poor value Award.
We stayed 2 nights , the rooms were not redone and the attic rats kept us sleeping.
After talking to the Owner about the big problem he replied that he worked there only in the rooms it was an oversight on their part!!!!

Sunday Lunch

We chose the gastronomic menu which at €25 per person seemed amazing value. The restaurant is a little old fashioned but with some tweaking could have been made to looked outstanding. Recommend booking in advance.
I had the prawns with yakitori sauce and my friend had a very generous portion of foie gras. Gréât dishes and excellent value. We both had the cod but although it was advertised to be served with a morel sauce, came with a white vegetable sauce and not a mushroom in sight. A disappointment. The fish itself was delicious but the accompanying vegetables ( rice, vegetables and something like a tiny Yorkshire pudding) were bland. We both chose the cafe gourmand for dessert which was delicious. The addition of ice cream inside the profiterole was a nice surprise. The service was efficient and friendly and the restaurant was set to be Covid safe with space between tables. All in all excellent value but a small attention to detail could have made it a gastronomic sensation.
