I came with a friend and stayed in a lovely house with four bedrooms next to the chateau of Sophie and her family.
We had the royal treatment with every day fresh made meals. Truly divine!
Highly recommend staying here. Family are so welcoming!
The house has a big kitchen so outside the porcelain weeks you can make your own meals easily with all the kitchen equipments :)
The nearby lake and swimming pool are so refrehing. We enjoyed the beautiful garden with the smell of lavendel and lots of butterflies. We cuddled with the three cats. Buying wine at Le Maine Giraud is great for some sightseeing (17 min drive).

Tranquility, Relaxation and Rejuvenation
Logis de Beaulieu is located in the heart of the French countryside where the only sounds you hear are the birdsong and gentle hum of the frogs. We stayed in the 1 bedroom gite which is located adjacent to the main house. It had long shuttered windows offering views over both the courtyard and beyond to the front. While at the back of the property 2 sets of double doors opened onto a terrace and little private garden. An inviting hammock hung between 2 trees tempts you to while away hours reading or snoozing. My partner is a passionate cook and was very pleased the kitchen was not lacking in equipment and all knives are kept professionally sharp. But not to worry the gite also has an excellent dish washer. It was spotlessly clean and the deep walls made it lovely and cool during the hot weather and for those chilly evenings there was a lovely traditional fireplace for a fire. I cannot think of a single thing that would have improved our stay. The owners Sophie and Brian made us feel extremely welcome and both went the extra mile to make sure our stay was perfect. We really enjoyed their aperitif evening where we all sat by the pool eating, drinking and discussing the history of Logis de Beaulieu amongst other things. We felt so comfortable as if we were at home, so much so we even picked walnuts to pickle and made jam from berries we were allowed to pick from the estate. Walks to the lake are a must where one can lounge around in the boat or worship the sun on loungers on the sandy shore. Our little dog loved swimming in the lake but I preferred the crystal clear water of the infinity pool with its terrace and sun loungers. There was even a bar stocking wine and beer should you under estimate your thirst while shopping earlier in the day We absolutely loved our stay and look forward to returning later in the year. I highly recommend Beaulieu - thank you so much.

Perfect dream! Absolutely stunning and totally worth it!
I would love to give 6 stars but unfortunately TripAdvisor limits it to only 5 stars.
Beaulieu is a place we all can dream of. The ensemble with the chateau, the wing, the old barn and the huge courtyard is just amazing and gives me a big smile on the face every time I think of it. It is the second time that we spent more than a week at Beaulieu. Last year in May and we came back again this year. Both times we stayed at the Gite ll. The apartment is perfect for us and our little toddler. The big living room with the open kitchen (perfectly equipped) allows you to prepare the nice food you can buy on markets and supermarkets in the area. Since last year there was a major upgrade. The bathroom is brand new. It was renovated and extended. Now you have a luxurious big shower plus a big bathtub all in a tasteful modern combination which honors the heritage of the estate. It feels more like a "home spa" than a ordinary bathroom. The interior of the whole apartment is very tasteful too and everything is clean and tidy. Sophie and her family are very helpful and nice hosts. They gave us very good recommendations for shopping and "sightseeing".
Like the last time we had perfect weather with sunshine. We spent most days at the big pool or at their private lake. The property is huge. And with huge I mean very, very huge. You can have a beautiful 30 minutes walk through their forest, or you just go down to the lake and spend some quality time at the sand beach.

Holidays in Charente on countryside mannor - calme, nature & a great estate
This was actually a good choice! The Logis de Beaulieu is a charming estate from the 17th century. It counts three holiday rentals - we had the big gite for a reduced price, as we were two persons.
I must say this was one of nicest stays I had so far in France. On the estate there is a tennis court, lakes in the valley and a wonderful swimmingpool. Everything is very private and quite original.

Ruhiger Urlaub im Paradis
Wer Logis de Beaulieu besucht, sollte kein Anhänger von Massentourismus, Clubs und Musikbars im Urlaub sein. Wer einen ruhigen Urlaub in traumhafter Umgebung sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Das Haus ist phantastisch und bietet eine traumhafte Kulisse zwischen Feldern und Weinbergen. Der Pool ist ein wunderbarer Ort zum Relaxen und die ganze Umgebung ist mit zwei kleinen Badeeseen und viel Natur einfach traumhaft! Toller Urlaub für Familien und Paare!
