Poussin is a small hotel set around a little garden with a terrace, located in the historic area of Auteuil. Satellite TV and a minibar are provided in the guest rooms. A buffet breakfast is prepared every morning, and is served in the dining room.

Hotel to discover near Place d'Auteuil
Always welcomed with a smile, clean room with shower, courtesy tray and TV. continental breakfast is good too. The best part of the hotel is the 24-hour reception.

Decent room, poor service
Hotel is nice, I was told I had breakfast included by one worker and then when I checked out they made me pay for my breakfasts because they weren’t included. I paid of course but a little more attention from the workers would’ve been nice. Nasty guy at the desk telling me “it’s your word against mine, pay the breakfast” because he didn’t believe me.

Top for Roland Garros
So, the hotel is no big deal. Small, very standard and without special skills. But it's more than fine: being alone the room for me was not so tiny and I must say that I enjoyed it. The highlight is the location: ten minutes from the Princes Park and Roland Garros, it is also very close to the metro stop that takes you to the city center.

Lights and shadows
I stayed for three days at the Hotel Poussin because in those days I had tickets to go to Roland Garros. Although there were very convenient aspects that justified my choice, there are still details (not insignificant) to be settled.
I start from the positive aspects: the neighborhood is very elegant, there are many restaurants around, in addition to the many means of transport, there is a taxi rank 5 min walk away and the location is, above all, strategic to move safely on foot both towards Roland Garros and the Park of the Princes (PSG stadium). The price overall is also acceptable. I paid about 800 Euros for three nights BUT (and I stress this) booking LAST MINUTE in full Roland Garros and with the Champions League final approaching.
That said, the negative notes are not insignificant. The rooms are unfortunately REALLY small (and I am an adaptable person, I assure you) and the bathroom even smaller, with a shower wedged in a closet that will not even have been 5sqm and the cup overlooking the bed... not great. If nothing else my room was clean, although I don't particularly like that there is carpeting on the floor.
Staff do not always speak English, which makes communication more difficult. In general you don't expect to be heard with a smile if you try to speak English, but this is alas common in Paris.
Finally, the thing that made me turn up my nose the most was that when I arrived, despite asking for early check-in (which was not possible, but this - more or less - fits), there was no room in which to store my luggage. I had to leave my trolley at the “reception” (I put quotation marks because it’s really small too), without being given a coupon or a reference signal and without being even put in a more hidden area. I then returned to check in 10 hours later and found my suitcase in a different place, but always at the reception, for everyone to see. I hurried to retrieve it and no one got bogged down, which led me to think that if anyone wanted to claim it, no one would intervene. This for me is an aspect to be fixed absolutely.
I can't talk about breakfast because it wasn't included in my offer.
I don't know if I'll come back here. On the one hand, however, the location remains excellent, on the other hand the services are really to be fixed. I give three stars of encouragement and leave myself time to think about it. However, if you want a solution that is simple but practical for sporting events, do not be shy and take advantage of it. You never know what you might find otherwise.

Phenomenal neighbourhood
Gorgeous neighbourhood - the best neighbourhood in Paris, in fact. Surrounded by all of the famous French sporting venues: PSG’s home ground is a 15 min walk away; Longchamps and Auteuil are short walks away. The Roland Garros, rugby stadiums - you name it, it’s in Auteuil. The quality of the neighbourhood is reflected in the restaurants, bakeries, shops, architecture and parks. Ultra clean and a relaxed pace. Now for the hotel: I loved arriving and getting a homely vibe- horse racing shown on the tv in the lounge, kind staff. We were even able to check in early. In this day and age, that is becoming more rare. The property is old and is a three star hotel so don’t expect Lux 5 star. Instead, expect a clean, warm and welcoming abode in an amazing area - perfectly suitable for a short stay.
