An outstanding hotel with an outstanding staff!

In December of 2025, we returned to Paris and stayed for several nights in this lovely Left Bank hotel. It was perhaps our seventh stay in this hotel, and we had reserved a Superior Double room overlooking the courtyard in the back of the building. Of all the rooms we had stayed in at the Hotel du Levant, the room assigned to us in December had several features that we particularly liked, including a bathroom with a walk-in shower. When we learned in February that we would be returning to Paris in May and June, we contacted the hotel to see if we could reserve that specific room again, but unfortunately it was available for only a couple of nights, not for the full duration of our Paris stay. We were disappointed, but since we love this hotel so much, we booked that “favorite” room for the two nights that it was available and then chose a different Superior Double room to supplement it. I received an e-mail from Mlle. Kaouther, one of the hotel staff who works at the reception, saying that in the event of cancellations or room changes, she would do her best to accommodate us in our “favorite” room for the duration of our stay in Paris. This was a remarkably kind gesture and underscored the kind of special attention which the hotel staff will give to guests.
Thanks to Mlle. Kaouther, we learned in March that we would have the room we wanted for the ENTIRE duration of our stay! We will never be able to fully express our thanks to her, as well as to Monsieur Léo, for making this possible for us.
The Hotel du Levant continues to offer quality rooms with a classic French ambiance, as well as a perfect location near the St.-Michel Métro station, with easy access to the RER trains that took us to and from Charles-de-Gaulle airport. From the hotel lobby, you can step out into a lively street lined with restaurants and bars, and even a handy grocery store just a minute’s walk down the street at 52 rue de la Harpe.
If you are a returning guest, you will be delighted to see the hotel’s new breakfast room with its Art Deco stained-glass ceiling panels and its expanded seating, including a few tables which have a view onto the street. The breakfast buffet has everything you could ever want to set you up for the day, including fresh buttery croissants, cheeses and cold meats, fruit juices, yogurts, and robust coffee.
The reception is staffed 24/7 with a friendly and helpful group of people who recognize us when we return and always welcome us back. Again we thank Mlle. Kaouther and Monsieur Léo for making it possible for us to return to what we consider the best hotel room in Paris.

Hotel du levant is what i was looking for when i started checking for Hotel in Paris. Location, style, and the vibe!

Hotel du Levant is what i was trying to look for while i started planning my trip. To begin with the location of the hotel is amazing, close to everything you need to see in Paris, very close to the main attractions such as Notre Dame, Musee de Louvre, La sene river and so on. Walking distance is nothing.
The vibe of the hotel since the minute you enter is different, with that Parisian lobby, stairs, rooms, windows. The building itself is beautiful.
The rooms are nice, tidy, clean, and cozy, spacious too.
The staff were also very helpful with everything.
Also to add, the hotels street is full of life, with restaurants facing it and never felt bothered at late hours.
Breakfast was good too, i enjoyed it every morning.
Also close to the metro which was helpful going from and back the airport.
If i ever comeback i know where to stay again.

A wonderful Parisian experience

This hotel is a real Parisian delight.
It is in a great location, with many transport options to get virtually anywhere you want.
So many of the popular tourist spots are close by and only walking distance away.
The surrounding streets have an almost endless range of eating options but we found little or no street noise in our room despite Rue de Levant being busy.
The staff are very helpful, the rooms clean, tidy and welcoming. From the lobby, the stairs, the old pictures and artifacts, there is an authentic Parisian feel to it.
We are so glad we found it and would be back again without hesitation.

Great hotel & fab location!

Just home from a 4 night stay at this great hotel. Never stayed before.
Booked a twin room on 1st floor. It was sufficiently spacious for two people and cleaned daily with fresh towels. Did not have a view but came to Paris to see the sights not sit in the room.
Air con worked a treat which was a relief as it was 28-37c days we visited! Beds very comfy and room faced courtyard and was quiet.
Breakfast included in price and whilst basic provided all you need to start your day, pastries, cereal, yogurt, fruit and coffee/tea. All the staff we met were pleasant.
The location was ideal for transport and some of the major attractions either by foot, metro or train (being what we used). You are also close to a couple of fab Pâtisseries. The neighbourhood is lively has an energy and feels very safe!
I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
