Excellent B&B with great biking/hiking opportunities and fabulous meals

We had a fantastic 5-night stay at Bed Breakfast Bikes Pyrenees in September 2024. Bev and Kevin are fabulous hosts. The biking and hiking in that area are excellent. And in our 17-day trip to France, the best food we had was Bev's cooking! We will be back with friends.

Fabulous. Again!

Our second stay with Bev and Kev, and it won't be our last. We enjoyed our week here in 2022 so much we returned for another week's cycling in the Ariege. A super warm welcome with lovely hosts, spotless rooms, great meals (veggie no problem) and plenty of room in the workshop for our tandem. There are plenty of recommendations for routes to suit your mood (climbing and bagging some Cols, sightseeing or just tootling if you like!) so it's a great choice for a cycling base. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay again - like a home from home. In the words of Arnie, we'll be back....

Cycling and B&B heaven in the Pyrenees

We had the upmost pleasure of staying with Beverly and Kevin for 5 nights in May.
Right from being collected by Kev at the airport the laughs started, Kevin has a story for every situation. What a fella.
While the weather wasn't was warm as we hoped, the cycling, quiet roads, and the climbs were spectacular. We managed to get these bad boys in:
Col du Peguere
Plateau de Beille
Col du Portel
Col de la Cruzette.
Cakes in the coffee shops are c'est magnifique, make sure amd sample them
The B&B is a beautiful home that Beverly amd Kevin have shared with the world. Beverly's cooking is out of this world. We were never hungry. Great continental brekky, with scrambled eggs before the spin. Rolls, ham , cheese, homemade hummus foe a post ride snack....then every dinner was just amazing. Thanks Bev.
Also worth noting, Kevin has a great bike 'shed', so you won't be short of an Alan key, spanner or any tools so no need to pack all your tools.
We can't wait to go back. What a Gem of a place.

We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us and the cycling that the Ariege has to offer.
We do endeavour to make our accommodation a home from home with simply furnished bedrooms and private bathrooms and communal living, dining, kitchen, tv areas along with sun terrace, where we invite you to relax and treat as your home for the duration of your stay. Thrilled you enjoyed the food, we try to keep it simple, fresh and nutritious.
Kev's bike cave is a sight to behold and as you say has most tools required for repairs, all in order!
As for the cycling, you had a taster of what the Ariege has, and as you found out it is a hidden gem, with many quiet lanes, TDF cols and quite a few others that are not on the Tour schedule, but nonetheless challenging, along with rolling rides away from the mountains. As you found out there are plenty of routes to choose from and we hope that you will return to explore some more. The Ariege awaits!!! Many thanks again for your kind words.

Excellent base for cycling and walking in Pyrenees.

My wife and I stayed at this bed and breakfast to cycle in the Pyrenees. We had breakfast in the morning, usually porridge for me and croissants for my wife after muesli and coffee. Out for a ride then back for snack before an evening meal around 7:30pm. The food was excellent and changed each night. We also got out kit washed every other day which was a bonus.
The hosts both cycle and we did have a morning out with Bev on the bike. Kev is a bit faster than us but we have been out with him before and he is happy to cycle at your pace.
Top tip is to ask Bev for suggested routes for your ability and ambitions, which she will show you on a map and send to your computer which we found vets helpful. All in all, very accommodating couple and it is our third visit.
Recommended.

Firstly many thanks for choosing to stay with us for your cycling holiday in the Ariege, and secondly for taking the time to review us - its very much appreciated.
As you well know the Ariege is perfect for cyclists of all abilities, the area has a plethora of quiet lanes taking you through quiet sleepy hamlets and villages. The terrain is varied from cols to undulating to pretty flat, which mixes the riding experience up a little - we always say its not all hills!!!!
We ride the area ourselves and therefore are pretty much able to suggest good routes that will suit your requirements but most importantly that you will enjoy.
So pleased that you enjoyed your stay and do hope that we see you soon.

Chapeau !

Beverly and Kevin as hosts at Bed & Breakfast Bikes Pyrenees were outstanding. We stayed for 5 days enjoying the incredible bike riding La Ariege has to offer. From our arrival at Toulouse where we were picked up by Kevin to our departure we were so well looked after both on and off our bikes. Beverly's home cooking just has to be experienced and Kevins expertly guided rides throughout the area were truly memorable. Whether your trip is on two wheels or simply to enjoy this beautiful countryside looked after by such fantastic hosts you simply cannot go wrong with Bed & Breakfast Bikes Pyrenees. 10/10.
