Great b&b

Stayed for a week mid July. A short bus ride from la rochelle b&b la difference is a perfect place for a relaxing break. A quiet b&b with a lovely pool. Philippe and Yann are perfect hosts, friendly and cannot do enough to help. Great breakfast every morning and homemade cakes and jam made by Yann. We stayed in the double room which was comfortable and met all our needs. Would stay again.

Disappointing holiday

I booked a holiday with you in February 24 to go in May as it was advertised with a pool and free parking.We emailed the hosts to say one of our party had been taken terminally ill. We had no reply. We then found out the pool was not in operation and the free parking was infact away from the house in a public square. We tried contacting the hosts both by email and phone with no responce. We then found that the host proceeded to take full payment from my card. We then felt we had to cancel our holiday as we didnt know where we stood, we didnt want to travel from the UK to France to stay with them to find we had no accomodation.This experience has been un neccessarily stressful and could have been avoided if they had communicated with us. Our holiday has been spoilt.

Il est vrai que nous avons communiqué en avril sur notre site et sur les réseaux sociaux, dans un souci de transparence pour expliquer le sinistre subi par notre piscine.
Nous avons sollicité une entreprise qui a effectué les travaux de réparation pour remise en service dés le début du mois de mai.
Il est vrai que nous signalons par ailleurs la présence d'un parking public gratuit à quelques dizaines de mètres de la maison et n'avons jamais prétendu qu'il s'agissait d'un parking privé.
Il est vrai que par souci d'équité à l'égard des personnes qui réservent au tarif standard (plus de 95%) incluant la possibilité d'annuler gratuitement, nous proposons une formule à tarif réduit mais non remboursable que nous ne remboursons pas quelque soit les raisons. C'est cette formule que vous avez retenue.
Il est faux de prétendre que nous n'avons pas répondu à votre mail dont il reste trace dans les archives Booking (dans les 48h).
Ce qui est certain, c'est que vous auriez pu, bien évidement, profiter de votre séjour si vous ne l'aviez pas annulé et nous vous aurions accueilli avec plaisir comme nous le faisons avec tous les clients depuis 8 ans qui nous accordent sur tous les sites d'excellentes notes.

Nice place for lodging

A few km from harbour and citycenter of La Rochelle
Friendly staff, and very helpfull
Very clean room.
Free parking nearby.
The pool is heated and sunny terrace.
To recommand for stay and visit of La Rochelle and Ile de Ré

Perfect B&B

The welcome at La Difference was warm and friendly from day one. Our hosts Philippe and Yann were polite, helpful and informative. Our ensuite room was cleaned daily and included tea making facilities. We had the perfect mix between privacy and assistance when needed, with helpful tips on places to visit and how to get there. La Rochelle centre was only a bus ride away and we were able to come and go with our own key to the front door. I thoroughly recommend this lovely B&B in the pretty suburb of Lagord.

Une belle expérience

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à B B La Différence à LAGORD.
B B La Différence est proche de La Rochelle, du pont pour aller sur l’île de Re.
Philippe et Yann sont charmants et feront tout pour que votre séjour se déroule au mieux, et c’est fort agréable.
Les chambres sont propres, spacieuses. Les petits déjeuners sont copieux.
Excellent ratio qualité/prix. N’hésitez pas à réserver en direct auprès d’eux.
Encore un grand merci à Philippe et Yann pour leur accueil!
