A good address.
This is the first time we are staying at this hotel, and we appreciated the welcome and kindness of the staff. Room and bedding impeccable, and an excellent meal! The restaurant is highly recommended!

Great hotel with great restaurant and very kind owners
Had a lovely overnight stay here - owner very kindly offered to put some wine I had on board into his cold storage room due to high temperatures outside

Never again
Room 102 on ground floor annexe was dirty and musty. Dead insects, cobwebs, mould on the window, and live ants scurrying around. WiFi didn't work at all in our room. The owner put an ant killer trap on window ledge when told, but the overall feel was grubby. Restaurant meal was good and served with a smile.

Room 102 is not currently available for booking, as it is due to undergo refurbishment before the start of the season. We have issued a new memo to our team regarding this matter, although I realise this comes too late for you. Once again, I can only express my regret at this unfortunate incident. I am pleased, however, that your experience in our restaurant was satisfactory.

This Place Has Gone Down Hill, Sadly
This was the return trip stop-over following a visit to the Alps having also stayed the previous week and several times over the years , (but not in maybe last 3 years). Another guest suggested the Hotel was under new management.
We arrived at 3 pm to find the place closed and shuttered, realising it was 1530 check in time we left and returned over an hour later at 5 pm.
After trying numerous doors for many minutes we eventually found a staff member who was able to check us in.
We were given the same room we had the previous week which was Ok until we noticed quite a loud noise coming from the plumbing at regular intervals of 30 seconds. Thinking this could disturb our sleep we alerted the staff member who dismissed this as just plumbing noise caused by "other guests" (which it clearly was not as it was not there the previous week) . Needless to say the noise continued every 30 seconds throughout the night and until our departure. Completely unacceptable.
The grounds about the hotel are looking shabby (although to be fair there is evidence of some internal re-decoration taking place). Its not all bad: The restaurant food was quite good and the service pleasant.
Beze is a charming little town but this hotel is a very much less attractive option after our latest experience.

We regret that you were not satisfied with your stay. We provided you with the same room as last week, which you were entirely satisfied with, and which met your specific request for a room at the rear of our establishment. Following your comment, on the very day of your arrival we checked for any potential plumbing issues and found none; we are therefore sorry that you may have been inconvenienced by a problem we were unable to identify. Regarding the surroundings of our establishment, we took over this property seven years ago and invest in its renovation every year. Our car park is not in good condition, but fortunately we do not ask guests to sleep or eat in the car park, and it is passable enough to offer our guests a free, safe place to park. We feel it is more appropriate to invest in renovating the rooms, as well as in replacing the bedding, and to provide you with a full picture, we have just completely refurbished the establishment’s terrace for the greatest pleasure and comfort of our guests. However, it is true that in the low season, when the weather is grey and rainy, our establishment appears less welcoming. We regret that we were unable to meet your expectations. Kind regards.
