How to find the best spa hotel deal in Barcelonnette
Book in advance
Planning early can pay off, especially if you've got your eye on a particular spa hotel or treatment. Holiday periods and weekends are often the first to fill up, so the earlier you book, the more choice you're likely to have.
Or score last-minute Barcelonnette spa hotel deals
In the low season, hotels sometimes lower rates at short notice to fill vacant rooms. You'll often have more luck finding availability midweek than at weekends, and being flexible with appointment times can also help.
Flexible dates can unlock better prices
Search different months and compare weekday with weekend rates before you book. Spa hotel packages in Barcelonnette can have large price differences between weekdays and weekends, so staying Sunday to Thursday and avoiding major holidays and events can help you find a lower price.
Things to know before booking a spa hotel in Barcelonnette
Before you book, it's worth finding out what's typically included at a spa hotel. It can mean anything from a hydrotherapy pool to a full range of massages and treatments. Here's what to check.
Spa access and inclusions
Some hotels include spa access as part of the room rate, while others charge an additional fee. Treatments are often an additional cost, while some facilities may have to be booked in advance.
Spa facilities
If you're looking to unwind, the spa facilities can make all the difference. Open-air pools are ideal for taking things easy, while hydrotherapy circuits and thermal baths leave you feeling revitalized.
If you're comparing spa facilities, saunas provide dry heat, steam rooms provide a warm, humid environment, while hammams combine steam with traditional bathing rituals. A garden and a tennis court are among the most popular facilities at a number of spa hotels in Barcelonnette.
Beyond the main facilities, check if there are relaxation areas, which offer a quiet space to sit after your treatment. If you're visiting a destination with geothermal springs, you can enjoy therapeutic benefits of the mineral-rich waters.
