The guest house at the top
What a pleasure to stay in the center of Avignon, especially quiet!The room very nice, the owner very friendly and kind! Breakfast with chocolate breads and hot croissants, its fresh fruit salad and homemade orange juice! A real treat! Recommend

Fantastic 5 days had in Avignon. Maison Boussingault was fantastic
Had a wonderful holiday. The breakfast was excellent, in a nice environment. The host is super friendly and helpful. Very good tips. Very well located.

A perfect stay twice in a row
For the second year in a row we stayed here for a midweek. Again a wonderful stay. The rooms are up to date and beautiful, breakfast is very extensive with local produce and homemade jams. The host is incredibly friendly and helpful. He helped us select the restaurants (tasty and not expensive), plotting our day. Thanks again for our private tour!

shocking
Incredibly rude and you're the only thing is I was going for it is it's fairly central in town. Arrived because plane was diverted to Montpellier from Marseille due to very bad weather. It was dangerous. Fiona was upset that I was late because of this but I told him that we were coming late because of a delay. The room was clean. However, the bath towels were like sandpaper. The bathroom door didn't lock. The bedroom door was very difficult to lock. The toilet. Paper was three courses used on one row. There was no water at the side of the bed. The air-conditioning didn't work and the sheets are incredibly thin. The owner praised himself because he told me when I asked him where could I go and eat he said well I told you where I can Carney expected to get a pat on the back for that booking.com paid him directly and he maintains that I left in the morning without checking out. No one was around to help me and I knew that I paid via booki the owner is quite possibly the rudest person and writes the biggest lies that I've experienced on here. There are many many many many better places in the town to say this quite frankly I hope karma gets him avoid people if he comes back on this whatever he says is not true I would never stay there even if you paid me a lot of money.

mensonges et méchanceté gratuite
particulièrement menteur sur tout ce qui est dit avec une méchanceté gratuite, d'ailleurs démontré par 95% des commentaires sur Booking : climatisation en parfait état de fonctionnement, serviettes douces et de dimensions équivalentes à celles d'un hôtel 4*, bouilloire et machine Nespresso dans la chambre (café, thés, tisanes, ..) et dans le réfrigérateur bar (eau plate et gazeuse, jus de fruit, coca cola, schweppes, bières, ...), papier toilette très bon et rouleaux non entamés, couette parfaite pour l'hiver (à disposition dans l'armoire car il faisait 27°c) et à ne pas confondre avec le drap du lit !!
quant à la remarque sur "la tape dans le dos" pour le restaurant, c'est plus que déplacé car c'était vraiment pour le dépanner et je n'attends certainement pas de "geste amical" pour cela ; tous mes invités depuis des années sont d'ailleurs ravis que je puisse leur indiquer les meilleurs restaurants
mensonge également sur le paiement par Booking : il n'y a aucun prépaiement dans notre Maison d'Hôtes ; cette personne le savait car d'une part c'est mentionné sur sa réservation et d'autre part lorsqu'il est arrivé à 22h sans aucune correction de prévenance (il devait arriver à 18h ) nous sommes convenus qu'il règlerait le lendemain matin au premier étage ; mais le lendemain matin, le client s'est "éclipsé" très discrètement sans payer : j'ai donc dû débiter sa carte bancaire après son départ (indiquée sur sa réservation) ce qui m'a occasionné des frais bancaires que je ne lui ai pas facturés) et bien sur cela ne lui a pas plu
première fois depuis notre ouverture qu'un tel personnage séjourne chez nous : heureusement d'ailleurs, car la clientèle d'une chambre d'hôte ne ressemble en rien à cette personne (sympathique, courtoise, attend un service attentionné, des renseignements sur les visites et les restaurants, ...)

Disappointing stay in Avignon, France
I would not stay at Maison Boussingault again. There are better values for your money for stays in Avignon.

Room was dark and buggy. Provided bug spray did not help too much
Room needed a deep cleaning and update
