Machmoud and Abdul give you a fantastic experience.

We stayed here with family for a few days to explore Luxor. The hotel is a bit dated but the staff is doing everything right. Machmoud and Abdul do everything to make your stay enjoyable. The regular taxi driver (also called Machmoud) is also a reliable hit. Take advantage of it so you don't pay too much. The prices they charge and the service is excellent. The animal sounds around the hotel are sometimes loud but complete the Egyptian experience.
You can also eat at Wolf restaurant a block away. This is within walking distance and highly recommended.

Very expensive bar, location doesn't match, tap water is sold as bottled for $2, lots of noises and loud music all night.
