Lovely place to stay close to the amaing Olon beach

The place is lovely with friendly and helpful staff. The hostel actually offers private rooms with private bathroom and towels. The room was basic, but very clean and spacious. The hostel is located in the hearth of Olon, opposite of the main scquare, and just few minutes walk to the beach. There are many restorants and places to dine around the facility. The staff is very friendly, nice and helpful which gives the place a homely feeling.
I would definitely go back to stay in this place!!

Great staff and location, not so great room, not allowed to use kitchen although advertised.

The staff was very accommodating and provided many local tips. The location was 2 blocks away from the beach with many great restaurants just outside the hostel. The internet was probably the best we had in Ecuador. The room also had air conditioning - a first in all of South America. However, that being said, the room was not so great. The bed cover that was given to us had a horrible smell and forced us to use our sleeping bag as a blanket. There are spider webs all over the walls. We had bugs crawling on the bed and come out of our bags. The room smelt of mold. Also, we booked this room through airbnb, where it was said that the kitchen could be used. Upon arrival, the owner told us we could use the kitchen but not the fridge (which was empty, we checked). When we did try to use the kitchen, the staff told us we could not. Also, not a real kitchen, just a gas stove on the balcony.

Lovely

Nice quiet place with lovely staff.
Good location close to a nice café with homemade bread and European beers. Close to the beach. By the night the barbecues come out. Kitchen to make your breakfast for a good start to catch surfs. Good vibe. Lovely place to make your stay in Olon perfect.

Lovely Place

We had a great time at Grand Azul. The Hostel is small and cute and not far from the beach. But what was really great was the hospitality from the hosts. They're so friendly and we had good conversations. We just stayed for 2 nights, but we could have stayed so much longer!

Highly recommended

Thank you so much for the few wonderful days i have spent at Gran Azul!
I have had the opportunity to meet fantastic people during my stay including the hosts and the guests!
The place is super clean, really close to the beach and has a great vibrations!
Very affordable for both solo travellers and couples!
