Excellent service

It is a space to relax and spend with family, the service is very good, I have gone for the second time and the good service is maintained, there are not many people so you can make the most of the facilities, the area is quiet and you can enjoy

Great option for a pet friendly place..... but...

Its good that they accept pets!!!! Breakfast has improved since the last visit too.
Nevertheless,
Antares rents their internal parking on afternoons as a volleyball court for strangers. Also, it is adviceable to bring your own pillow, once the pillows provided are all flat.
Dont let them accomodate you near the pool if you are looking to relax during ypur visit.

not worth the money, switching hotels in the morning

We just arrived at the overpriced Antares Hostel and am pretty disappointed. One of my biggest pet peeves is dirty hotels that have bad smells. That sums this place up. Upon arrival to our room , there we're dirty footprints leading from the bathroom to the door. The bedding has black crumbs on it.
It's nothing as described in the photos.
I'm pretty sure they bought trip advisor stickers and put them on the windows themselves. If you're looking for a dive, this is the place for you. I'm going to get another hotel.

Over-priced and way over-rated

We reserved through booking.com on a super deal for $75 twin usually at $150!!!! The hotel was dark, no hot water, breakfast was terrible and thrown at us after many requests for spoon, salt and pepper etc. The pool was filthy and there was no signs anywhere that this could be classified as a spa. The bathroom seemed unclean, the TV worked the first night and not in the morning. Bed was ok and linens ok. The manager/owner was ambivalent, at best, and a man who seemed like he might be her father argued fiercely that the TV was working although the remote was flashing as we returned it. Like 'hypothetical' below, a young woman was running from the kitchen to reception to our room and insisting that the shower was aqua caliente although it was not absolutely fria. Kitchen didn't seem too clean with a dog there, and we turned a blind eye to the microwave as we asked for our coffee to be heated up. We left, with them accepting $50, knocked on doors on the same street and found the really great Hostal Maria Jose across the street for $50 all inclusive. And the Mediterraneo restaurant at the top of calle 29 is a pure bonus for great food after scavenging for reasonable meals other than pollo and pappas fritas during our 5 months in Peru and Ecuador.

Very good, congratulations !

My 18 nights spent here were very nice, the staff and the owners very helpfull, ready to answer to the questions you might have about Manta and not only. Having a matrimonial room with full sea vue just for myself was is like paradise. Everything worked very well for me during my stay here. Congratulations to everybody involved. If i visit Manta again, I would come back for sure. Hasta luego.
