Amazing place for a stop over for a few days!

We booked an apartment for only one night, the last night of our holiday and deeply regret we couldn't stay longer!
After a wild day in Legoland we arrived late at the place. The owner Lars gave us a warm welcome at the fireplace with a nice glass of wine.
The farm has a beautiful large garden full of opportunities to play for the kids. The apartment was charming, and well equipped, we would have loved to stay longer, and will surely come back for our next visit in Denmark!
Next time we will definitely go for a horse ride.

Great big thankyou to the owners of this lovely apartments clean worm and cosy place surrounded by lush greenery i stayed for one nite. I had a problem with my flight home my phone was out of charge the owners were so warm and welcoming in my hour off need helped me with my phone situation offerd me food and drink i will forever be greatfull for their hospitality. I will definitely book to go back in better circumstances thank again lost liverpool lad

Not worth it

Friendly host but somewhat lacksidaisical, tipsy impression. The room was extremely outdated and not very clean. We like the authentic rustic style of staying at a farm but this felt more like a damp 1970s bungalow with cracked tiles and broken toilet seat type of deal. Our bed smelled of the guests that stayed the night before. The beds including linen seemed a few decades old. The temperature in the room gets very high.

Perfect for families!

We’ve spent five great days at Skandihest with our kids, and we can’t wait to come back.
Skandihest is just a short drive from Legoland and is a little resort onto its own. It is a quiet, lovely spot that offers horseback riding, trampolines, an extensive LEGO collection, the world’s friendliest Golden Retriever and lovely two-Støren apartments with good amenities.
Since Skandihest is fairly secluded, with little traffic, you can let your kids run around, use the various play areas and explore the forest and the park on their own.
The hosts, Lars and Annika are wonderful. On arrival we were met with a hearty welcome, were given a tour of the place and got to meet the personnel and all the animals. They’re very welcoming and are available when you need them, but the place isn’t hectic at all — it feels like you have it all to yourself.
We look forward to returning to Skandihest again soon!

Perfect base for the region. Wished we'd stayed longer.

Just came back from 5 nights stay. Had booked this place as a base for our family (2 young children) whilst we explored the surrounding attractions (LEGO land, LEGO house, Gifskund zoo and Lalandia). Wish we'd booked a longer stay, so that we could have had more downtime here. Our kids absolutely loved it here. From playing with the wonderfulky friendly resident dog, Billy, to playing around in the play areas or on the trampoline, to feeding and riding the horses.
Lars and Annika are great hosts, and seem to take great pride in making their guests feel welcome. They seem to help all of the other guests gel. There's often a gathering at night around the fire (also bbq/grill), where folk from all over the continent talk and share stories.
The area is completely safe, and kids can be left to their own devices, particularly when tired parents need to catch up on much needed sleep after long days at the theme parks/late nights around the fire.
