Small, fine hotel
The small hotel is located in close proximity to the train station. It is nice and small. The staff is very good, and the breakfast is great. I had a room on the 4th floor. The elevator only went up to the 3rd floor. But it was perhaps only 10 steps. The elevator only went up to the 3rd floor. From my room, I had a nice view. Despite the location, it was pleasantly quiet. Fantastic hotel

The hotel is ok. The location is good but the rooms are tired, the toilet was smelly and they give only one relatively small towel per room.

Breakfast was excellent. Parking is recommended at the Aalborghallen congress culture center on the other side of the railway station. The family room was sufficient for one night stay. The bathroom was very small with the sink inside the shower cubicle and the toilet too close to the bathroom door. The room are not equipped with air conditioning which would have been necessary because it was very hot with 30°C outside; opening windows helped but with noise from the station or seagulls.

When I travel and arrive late, there is ONE criterion that is everything. And that is that I know that I can check in when arriving. The hotel is unmanned at night, and they do not communicate clearly that the keycode will only arrive after 18:00. In the end, I was fine, but I lost one hour of productivity worrying about the stay and making contingency planning.
If you arrive in the middle of the day, it is an OK option, with a feel of low-end male business travellers' place.

I have stayed several times at Hotel Prinsen in Aalborg, and it is undoubtedly a place I always return to. It feels almost like a fixed stop when I'm in town.
One of the things that really stands out is the staff. They are always incredibly welcoming, friendly and genuinely helpful – you feel really welcome from the first moment.
The location is perfect. The hotel is centrally located, and with the railway station only about 100 meters away, it is both easy and convenient to get to and from.
The rooms are neat and clean, like the rest of the hotel, and I am especially pleased with the smart solution with code lock, so you do not need a key or key card. The bath conditions are also very good with fine pressure in the shower and plenty of hot water.
The breakfast also deserves extra praise. There is a large and varied selection, and everything appears fresh and inviting. Whether you’re for the classic or something a little lighter, there’s something for everyone – and it’s a really good start to the day.
Overall, I think you get a quality and experience that is above what you would normally expect in this price class. The prices are very reasonable, and the overall impression is simply really good.
I can only give my warmest recommendations – I will definitely come back.
