Good hotel for colder months

It's nice and clean hotel in soviet-era style, even with some luxury vibes. Overall the nice and calm atmosphere, rooms are not very roomy but overall clean and ok. For this amount of money it's a pity that no any AC in any of the rooms (HIGHLY NOT recommended to visit in summer time unless you want to be boiled alive), outside is extremely noise (tire noise, TWO trains (active and noisy train line) & tram line, it's ok if you will not open the balcony door. Very good room service every day. Nice breakfast, Good coffee machine on first floor. Overall it's overpriced a lot, especially that there's no any AC in any rooms. It's a high NO-NO for the summer, tough in cold weather it's ok. I repeat DO NOT RECOMMEND TO VISIT IN SUMMER.

Too bad

We stayed for 3 days and the room wasn't cleaned even once. I guess they expected us to get through the entire holiday with the single-use mini shampoo provided on the first day. He was also absent in the following days. The bedsheets haven't been changed, and breakfast makes you appreciate having just olives and bread at home.
Its distance from the city also reduces daily transportation costs. But I think the real credit goes not to the hotel, but to the tour companies that market places that wouldn't even be considered guesthouses in Türkiye as "4-star European hotels."

Theft by hotel staff / security agents – Unsafe area, do not come

Theft by hotel staff / security agents – Unsafe area, do not come
Very bad experience – serious security issue.
We left our two backpacks in the hotel’s luggage storage, which is supposed to be secured and accessible only to one staff/security agent who has the key.
When we came back, we noticed that our belongings had been moved and that cash was missing from both backpacks.
There are security cameras in the luggage storage area, but so far we have received no clear response from hotel management, no explanation and no refund.
This situation is extremely worrying. Your belongings are not safe in this hotel.
We strongly advise against staying here.
Rating: 0/5 – Avoid this place, you are not safe.

Affordable and good value for money with close access to central Prague

Good and easy access to central Prague via tram or subway. Situated in a quiet area. Hotel restaurant offers a good menu at a reasonable price. Clean and comfortable rooms. Staff friendly and helpful. Price of rooms reasonable and affordable. Can recommend.

Sadly, it's a no from me.

Booked five "superior" rooms for five adults at over £70 a night, for five nights. Rooms were very basic so I dread to think what a standard room is like. Beds not comfortable and lots of door banging at all hours so kept being woken up. Bathroom was at least ok and plenty of hot water in the shower. It looks to me as if the bathrooms have recently been refurbished but the room itself got forgotten. The cleaner visited twice but I'm not sure that much cleaning actually took place, the room was certainly not vacuumed. Breakfast was a little hit and miss and quality of food was among the worst I've had in Prague. On our final morning we arrived with half an hour to spare and found staff clearing food away leaving lots of guests competing for what was left. Requests for replenishment were met with a shrug of the shoulder. Location for Prague's excellent public transport system is ideal but it is around 5km from the main tourist centre. Spending just a little more will get you a much nicer hotel in this wonderful city.
