Beautiful view
The hotel has a beautiful view on the nearby lake. The rooms are clean and well-furnished, bathrooms are enourmes. The hotel has wellness facility.
Breakfast was mediocre, lunch and dinner is above average.

Great location & views in wine country
I'm a bit conflicted about this property - I'll start with all the positives.
The location in Pavlov is perfect - right in the center of the small town and a great base for exploring the area. All staff are nice and efficient (without being overly friendly) and the lobby maintains a very professional hotel feeling. They have nice spa ("wellness") facilities here such as massage, sauna and whirlpool for a very reasonable price, and the procedures are handled very professionally. The views of the lake from the room are lovely, and the on-site restaurant for breakfast and half-board (dinner) is super convenient in such a small town. The beds are nice & comfortable and I slept well. AC was great to have! Pet-friendly, although not in the restaurant. The pleasant restaurant has a wide variety of wines, local beer and interesting drinks to try, and also offered outdoor terrace seating. Seemed to be very popular with pet-owners and families with small children, and a high chair was available to use in the restaurant.
The negatives. It is extremely expensive for what you actually get, and the rooms (which are more pension-like than hotel) do not reflect the price at all. Relatively small with an equally small window, and our room did not look like the photos posted on the website (no fridge included ). Regarding the website, they have an excellent one, but unfortunately it fooled me. There is a big part about their chef and restaurant that had me thinking this was really going to be a culinary experience, but it absolutely was not. We paid for half-board (incl only a main course, no drinks or extras) every evening but were sometimes disappointed about the food quality. Frozen supermarket vegetables, generally uninspiring choices, but there were a few meals we really liked (such as the chicken Caesar salad). The pet charge was the highest I've ever paid, and I've stayed at many pet-friendly properties! WiFi was very spotty, worked only off and on. I wished they had some garden or outdoor space to spend time.
All in all, I expected a higher level of luxury for the price and in the end feel a bit disappointed with this choice. The spa was one of the main reasons I booked, only to be told they don't do couples nor pre-natal massages. I would choose a different property if I booked again.

OREA Hotel Iris - in the heart of Moravian vineyards
This hotel (OREA group) is situated in the south of Moravia in the middle of small city Pavlov, surrounded by vineyards, producing delicious Moravian vines. You also can visit near well-known sights, like castles Lednice, Mikulov or Valtice or lake Nove Mlyny. Evenings is In Pavlov possible visiting some of numerous private vine cellars and taste very good local vines.
Hotel has very good 3-Stars level, newly furnished rooms and offers interesting and delicious meals.
We visited this hotel early August and tried both visiting near sights and also private vine cellars. We can recommend this hotel and trip.

Velmi špatná zkušenost-vřele nedoporučuji
Tento hotel, včetně restaurace vřele nedoporučuji. Ikdyž má strategickou polohu v centru vinařského Pavlova, strategicky toho nevyužívá. To, co by se dalo podnikatelsky využít, mistrn ě potlačuje velice neochotný personál, vše je zde problém, všude vládne neochota, což absolutně zabíjí všechny i rádoby malé plusy. Jít se najíst do restaurace doporučuji všem, kteří chtějí dobrodružství či přehlídku nemožného.Jezdím do Pavlova často a občas jsem nucen v Irisu něco hledat, ale nikdy to nenajdu, takže jsem se rozhodl tam již nikdy nevstoupit........

Kvalita neodpovídá ceně, personál se neumí chovat
Myslím si, že přijít na snídani (nabídka slabá), která je avizovaná do 10 hodin, v půl desáté, je naprosto v pohodě. Ovšem personál v hotelu Iris si to zřejmě nemyslí, takže jakmile vstoupíte do restaurace, oznámí vám, kolik vám (na minutu přesně) zbývá času. (toto je naše opakovaná zkušenost). Za tři minuty deset, přestože ještě sedíte a jíte, servírka začne jídlo odnášet, aniž by se vás zeptala, zda si ještě nechcete něco nabrat (jak jsme to zažili ve všech dobrých hotelech). Naprosto vás přehlíží, a to i když odcházíte, nepozdraví vás.
Cena za pokoj, na kterém kromě malinkaté televize není nic, je přemrštěná. V koupelně není fén.
