Easy to find en-route for Moravsky Kras

One night stay ok. Good food, welcoming staff. Excellent private parking. Bit pricey refering to 'value offered'. For tourist info support rather 'left on our own'. Decent for 'mid-way stop-over', think twice for longer stay.

Good basic tourist hotel, great Czech pub food

We stayed at the Hotel Macocha for one night. It is relatively basic but perfectly OK hotel in the town of Blansko about 5km from the Macocha Gorge and Punkeva and other cave complexes. Staff were polite and efficient and the set evening menu (of standard pub-style food) was delicious and a bargain at 90CZK (roughly £3 Sterling) per peson for three courses.
Downsides were traffic noise (hotel is opposite bus and train stations and fairly busy road); small size of some double room; and variable quality of beds (some of us thought too hard, some too soft). Overall good value and a good jumping off point for a visit to Punkeva caves for which reserved tickets need collecting by 8am(!).

Not the best

I've stayed there several times as the bookings were made for me. A very basic Hotel and quite expensive for the region and quality of services. Room very basic but clean. Breakfast quality and selection disappointing. Bar Staff had weren't interested in the customers, preferring to chat and smoke with the locals. Could be noisy as opposite station and on main road. Air Con NO.

Pro přepsání stačí.

Starší hotel s jednoduchým vybavením, některé části vybavení volají po údržbě.
Profesionalitu a ukázkovou ochotu personálu moc nečekejte. Může se stát, jako nám, že jsme se do hotelu nemohli dostat a čekali jsme až personál v 16hodin dojede.
Pokud očekáváte kvalitu standardního 3 hvězdičkového hotelu a služeb, je to o jiném podniku.
Restaurace v hotelu je otevřena pouze pro snídaně.

Ze doen hun best, maar...

Het personeel is aardig en hulpvaardig. Maar het hotel ligt aan en drukke weg, waarvan je veel geluidshinder ondervindt.
Samen met de warme kamers, in de zomerdag, die geen airco of fan hebben, is dit een minpunt. Wil je 's nachts ventileren, dan heb je goede oordoppen nodig.
Het eten bij het groepsarrangement varieerde in 5 dagen van simpele maagvulling tot goed eten. Ontbijt is redelijk, niet erg luxieus.
Het light all-in arrangement is ok, zij het dat de wijnen zoetig zijn en van matige kwaliteit.
Parkeergelegenheid aanwezig.
De eigenaar en zijn personeel verdienen beter; investeren in comfort is een aanrader.
