Great location apartment
Other reviews are not positive , this is a balanced review and is based on the price point ( you can’t expect 5 star accommodation for a 2 star price).
Positive- the apartment we booked was big. Approximately 46 square meters, and there was a lounge area and kitchenette. Great location in the heart of split, vet close to the promenade.
Negative- the pitched roof- when I got out of my bed I had to hunch over so I didn’t bang my head on the low pitched roof. The kitchenette had a microwave, kettle, fridge and dishwasher (great) but I couldn’t get the stovetop to work properly (wouldn’t make butter even sizzle). Our apartment was on the top floor which meant 4 floors up and no elevator. Narrow steep stairs so difficult to get suitcases up. I didn’t find the mattress comfortable as I’d roll into the middle of the bed (my partner did find it comfortable though-I’m picky).
Overall I would recommend the apartment.

DO NOT BOOK!
Accidentally booked the apartment and explained the situation to the host within 30 min. The host responded with laughing emojis and wrote in Croatian that the amount will still be charged. Me and my friend contacted her numerous times during which she told us there is no problem and would contact booking.com and let us know. She never contacted us again and even blocked our number. Absolutely disgrace of a woman! I also read a lot of reviews of people telling she scams by taking money while canceling the accommodation on the day of arrival and providing an alternative that’s way worse than the original accommodation. DO NOT BOOK!

What a disgrace of an owner this person is
My original booking was with booking.com
To start with when I contacted La Perla on check in day they said that they had an accident in the apartment and not an overbooking. Lie no 1.
They said they tried to call me all day yesterday. Lie no 2.
We had communicated via booking app previously and they choose not to even contact me to tell me anything. They did not return my calls.
We where in dire need to check in due to a medical issue we had the night before and we needed to rest badly. Not even an apology. They cancelled the booking so I cannot review them and advice others of they did.
They found an alternative which is sub par to what we had booked, but as I said due to a medical issue which kept us up all night before we really had no energy to argue.

Horrible
We reserved 3 weeks before our arrived. On the website we have to call her 24h before to make an appointment for the key ...So when we call her the first time she tell us that she will call me back in 10 min and never did it. So i try to call her back but without response. I send her a lot of messages on WhatsApp she saw them and didn’t answer again (like you can see on the screen) So my friend call her she answer and yell “STOP CALLING ME” and she hang up the phone. She blocked my number so i make an anonymous call and she answer and she explain me that the apartment that we book wasn't available after 4h trying to contact her. She refuse to cancel the reservation to have our money back. Because of her we couldn't take our flight to split and we have to cancel our vacation. We loose our money the day before our flight she was very rude and unsympathetic

Good location, standard room, very bad communication and not helpful.
Liked the location, very close to everything. It was cosy for the two of us and just about everything we needed for the week.
Very poor communication from the owners/staff, only heard from them 1 day before arriving and didn’t reply to 2 emails sent a month before and a week before. We were in the dark in regards to how they wanted payment up to the day before and we’re starting to worry they didn’t even know we were coming as no communication.
The apartment also needed a wider variety of utensils for the small kitchen, for example a frying pan, bowls and cooking utensils. Location was great but the downside was the amount of noise outside our front door due to noisy locals and young tourists.
We were told that our towels would be changed by the cleaning lady once every other day, however we had to chase up on this and got a rather sarcastic reply.
The T.V worked about 70% of the time. The WiFi was very inconsistent and often had to use 4G, when this issue was brought up the staff seemed very disinterested.
The main ceiling light also broke half way through our stay and this issue was also raised to the staff and they said they would sort it out but never did, so we were left with no main lighting for 3 days/nights.
