Lovely port town

Lovely town, we were on a cruise and did a trip into town to visit the 700 year old palace! Many fans of game of thrones would love this as many scenes with the dragon were filmed there, the dragons head is still there in a shop selling GOT souvenirs. A wanted around the port area was also lovely

Don't stay here

The worst customer service I have every received from a hotel. Our room had a leak right over the AC unit. Constant noise from the water dropping. We informed them about it, and that is where the lies started. Told us they would send someone up. Nobody showed up. The next day I was told that there is no building engineer available on the weekends. Requested to speak to a Manager and was told she would be in on Monday. In the meantime they sent up housekeepers who basically put towels ontop of the AC unit keep in mind it close to 100 degrees and our AC unit was covered in towels. They could not switch us to a different room because they had no availbility. I requested a meeting with the Manager on Monday and set up a time. She never showed up and was told she would come in the afternoon. I came back to meet her and was told she will not be able to make it. I told them to have her give me a call or email. She never did. Checked out of the room early but they still charged me for it. Do not waste your time staying in this place. Their breakfast is pretty gross as well with flies everywhere. Bottom line, they don't care about their guests and constantly lie! Find a better place to stay!

Nightmare hotel

I recently stayed at Lorenzzo Diocletian's Palazzo, and it was hands down the worst experience I've ever had with a hotel. Here's why:
No One at the Reception
Upon arrival at 8 pm, the door was locked and no one was at the reception. After ringing the doorbell multiple times, I had to call a number on a sign to speak with a manager who barely spoke English.
Unsafe Room Codes
The manager gave me codes to enter the hotel and my room. The problem? The codes are ridiculously simple (Room 1 = 1111, Room 2 = 2222), making it easy for anyone to guess.
Uninvited Guests
To my shock, I found a stranger sleeping in my bed and my belongings thrown out in the corridor. After much hassle, I was moved to another room, only to have a hotel employee walk in on me the next morning without knocking!
Security Issues
Even after demanding a code change, which they couldn't do, I was given a key. Later that night, someone tried to enter my room using the code again!
Noice at night
The walls are paper thin and a woman was screaming in the corridor at 2 o'clock in the morning. As there was no staff at the so-called hotel, I had to wait her out before I could go back to sleep.
If you care about your safety, sanity, or your belongings, stay away from this place.

Vacation In Style!

We were 3 staying and exploring Split and Dubrovnik for 4 days and were thrilled to find that we had 3 of the 4 penthouse suites booked on the top floor.
The building was beautifully restored in rock as is common on the Dalmatian coast and it had an elevator. Suites were nicely appointed with AC, heated floors, high quality bedsheets, mini fridge. We stayed in December and the weather was sunny and spectacular but it was fabulous to come back from exploring and walk on heated floors. Breakfast was top notch with a selection of some of everything plus the ability to order. Local cheeses, salami and prosciutto, fruits, yogurt, eggs just to name a few. This hotel is located in a pedestrian zone and we got a little turned around on the way from the parking lot, but a most kind local led us right to the front door.

No Refund and No Response Terrible Service

Like the earlier reviewers - don't book here and don't use booking.com. Not only were our flights cancelled but we were banned from leaving Australia. Despite this we have not received a refund. So disappointing. Even just to know that our booking is still valid and could be rebooked at a later date would be better than nothing

Very good location
