Glorious place and Jana’s warmth makes it special

We stayed here for a long weekend which felt like a month of rejuvenation. Jana is fascinating, committed, intelligent, wise and kindness itself. The farmhouse is charming and extraordinary anyway but it’s the warmth Jana brings to it which lifts a stay here to a deep experience.

Excellent stay could not be faulted!

Had an excellent stay at Hvareno! The place is really nice and relaxed and the location was perfect for us. You would need some sort transport but we had scooters and it was a perfect base for exploring the Island. Stari Grad is lovely and about 5mins drive away, Jelsa and nice places to swim also not far.
Toni and Jana are great hosts and helped make the stay even better! Really enjoyed their company and Toni sometimes cooks a dinner that you decide to join or not....if you have the chance I'd certainly recommend! Jana has Yoga clients coming too so a great team they make!
We didn't have time to explore the whole island and we get to return again next year we'd definitely return to Hvareno!

Beautiful setting, wonderful hosts, amazing food

It's a bit tricky finding accommodation in Croatia that isn't a soulless holiday apartment, so Hvareno really stood out as a haven that has clearly been built and decorated with love and good taste, attention to detail and generally a lot of thought put into guests' experiences. Hvar island is the highlight of Croatia for us and Hvareno makes a perfect base for exploring. The hosts Jana and Tony obviously care a lot about the location and environment, cooking (expertly) with local ingredients and taking in local animals to care for. The surrounding fields are wild and beautiful and the place makes for a perfect retreat, whether you're interested in the world-class yoga lessons or not. We're very glad we took the recommendations and advice for local restaurants/beaches as all made for fantastic experiences. We have no criticisms at all and are already looking forward to visiting in the future.

Delightfully Eclectic Stay

We booked this for 4 nights during our first visit to Croatia. Finding the place was a bit of a challenge using our GPS which took us to the right area but wrong house. My wife then realized that Toni had provided good directions in his email which I had failed to read completely. Jana and Toni welcomed us with open arms. We dined in on our first and third evenings. Toni's cooking was terrific as we're his breakfasts. On the other two evenings Toni recommended delightful and reasonable nearby restaurants. Each day Jana and Toni provided excellent suggestions of where to visit. A thoroughly enjoyable and memorable stay.

Lovely week on Hvar island!

My girlfriend and I have just spent a week at Hvareno:
- the place is super nice, quiet, cosy and decorated with care
- our hosts were outstanding, highly attentive, very warm and kind
- the vicinity of charming villages like Vrboska and the myriad of beautiful and secluded beaches are another great asset
- if you're lucky enough to attend Jana's yoga retreat: don't think twice, just go!
Our stay there probably ranks in our top 3 holidays (and we're seasoned travelers)!
