Friendly place

Nice location, super friendly family that runs the place; they really want you to feel welcome. It is clean and also you can attend a free salsa class (at a salsa school within 10 minutes walking distance). Breakfast is nice too!

Not up to modern hostel standards

May have received good reviews 6 years ago but needs money spent on it to make it up to what people expect of a modern hostel. The electricity went off first night and was like a sweat box in room. The bed had a dip in it. The slats were not fixed to bed I realised but that made no difference to mattress. The place had one hot shower the rest were cold. The window in the room looked out to the walkway. The electricity sockets were in the wrong places. There was not enough equipment for eating food hardly any knives, forks, spoons etc. The kettle switch needed to be held down to make it work. Most of the shower rooms were small so you had no space to put clothes.
