Wonderful experience

A very nice hotel located in the heart of Shenzhen city. Very nicely decorated reception with friendly staffs. Rooms have all amenities and comfortable bads. A long list of breakfast menu. Library is there. All the shops and markets are nearby.

Nothing exceptional, nothing too bad either.

Stayed at the Hui Hotel as we needed to be in the nearby area during the day and day after.
Hotel is quite quirky from the outside with some unique features making it stand out as an architectural building. Then you go inside and it's got high ceilings and an open space with check in desks set up as islands where customers check in.
Overall, the decor is pretty good in terms of modernism and design. But most Chinese hotels are like this now. On the face of it, it looked new but if you look closer, the hotel might be older as you see some wear and tear in places. On way to the room, the room numbers are written in Chinese but there's numbers underneath which ate shone, via light, onto the wall. Not immediately noticeable.
Room was a decent size. Nice bathroom with separate shower area and the amenities were nice. One thing that was quite annoying was they had a nespresso machine in the room which was perfectly functional. However, the capsules they gave us didn't fit the machine they gave us so we couldn't get a coffee.
The gym and the pool are a bit of a joke. Afterthoughts cramped into very tight rooms. Watch all the irregular steps!!
Breakfast was OK. Had eggs to order, noodles, steak and salmon! There were a bunch of pastries which looked unappetising but actually tasted OK. The coffee wasn't bad either.
I'm not sure I'd stay again; it's not because of the hotel or the room but for the same price, I could probably get something better.

nice middle range hotel in Shenzhen

My best friend and I came to Shenzhen for two days. Best friend found out the hotel had just done a group buy. A double room is just over $700 a night, and afternoon tea for two. I came up to her and tried.
The reception level of service is average:
The best friend went to the #ExhibitionCenter Shenzhen back to the hotel, although she checked in for two, but didn't leave my name. I only used my home leave card to register, and by submitting my room number and my best friend's name, I was able to get the card upstairs. I think it's safer to call the room and check with the guests who are already in the room before making a room card. Luckily, the room is not a co-worker or a changing girl. Otherwise it would be too embarrassing, wouldn't it?! Ha-ha. If I was a wife catching a husband, I would have succeeded.
The hotel lobby has bird cages with real birds, and I love listening to the birds sing and it's very healing. The lobby is very modern in design, a bit like the W hipster hotel, which is dark at night and has a sense of design when it opens during the day. Nice!
As the hotel contains afternoon tea for two, we are too late for afternoon, smart best friend and reception first communicate before a while before changing to breakfast, feel the service is impersonal and there is no temperature, the waiter has the authority, is to embarrass the guests first. But the dining room was beautiful, with a high-end feel, large floor-to-ceiling glass windows were very open, breakfast options were many, the taste was average, but the coffee was really good.
The rooms are designed strangely:
The most dissatisfied is the window. My room had small windows on both sides that formed a ninety-degree angle, and on one side it was fully frosted and could not see outside, and suddenly I looked at what I thought was a windowless room, a little short, and then I looked at what turned out to be super-hard frosted glass, and on the other side it was a small window looking at a very close and somewhat chaotic residential building.
The dry and wet separation of the shower is not designed. The shower was covered in water. I came out naked and dressed because there was no place to change. It would be a little awkward to come to a double room with your best friend or colleague.
The pillow is a catastrophically soft, completely unbearable to the neck, the mattress stiff, the support average, but no discomfort just there is no feeling of comfort. The bed linen was slightly stiff, smellless, the room was big and very clean, the whole just didn't exceed expectations, but the experience was good.
There was a revolving cabinet across the toilet with a full-body mirror, and her best friend decided to hold it against her for fear that it would shine on us at night when it slowly turned.
Best friend buy is $700 double room also pack afternoon tea for two, super cost-effective, room upgrade opportunities are near zero. Conveniently located, the lobby and restaurant are elegantly decorated. The price is definitely worth staying at. If I'm coming to the halfway house, I'll bring a pillow of my own.

Outstanding Hotel But Traps for Foreigners

Hui could really make you feel at home right from your step inside the Hotel , walk in the Chinese Restaurant, elevate to your Designed Room, or chill at the Book Bar, relax on the Roof Top before sunset. The classic Chinese design well blended with modern technology. Choices for Chinese or Western food were limited but served outstandingly. However, the gymnasium was somewhat "hiding" at the corner without any clear signage or hints about its existence. The "one step down" to the Pool door would be another dangerous trap for foreigners too. The promotion for food packages for Hotel guests in Chinese Only also confused we Chinese. Waitress of the restaurant told us to book that via our cell phone..., reception desk guided us back to the restaurant...What a joke. Other than these tricks not applicable to locals, Hui is an outstanding Hotel in the area of Shenzhen to chill and relax for two to three days.
