The overall experience was very comfortable
This stay at the Shimao Hilton Changsha is a very comfortable overall experience and is a safe choice for travelers to Changsha. The hotel is quiet, away from the downtown traffic and the overall atmosphere during your stay is relaxed. The floor is very high, the view from above is the biggest plus, the river view room can see Xiangjiang city skyline through the window, in the evening the sky changes gradually, the night scene is beautiful, pictures are very good.
The room was clean and tidy, the hygiene meticulously done, the bed products soft and skin-friendly, pillows soft and hard moderate, lying down easy to relax to sleep. Bathroom space dry and wet separation, adequate water pressure, stable hot water, good washing experience. The room lights are soft, the layout is minimalist and atmospheric, the atmosphere feels advanced and not flashy.
The front desk service was gentle and courteous, the check-in rhythm was smooth, the staff were patient, luggage delivery and guidance were thoughtful, there was no sense of raw lines throughout. Breakfast ingredients are fresh, the dish is clean, Chinese and Western categories are fully matched, pasta, hot dishes, desserts are online, taste light and delicious, can eat comfortably.
The common areas are elegant and the lobby is quiet for a simple break to take photos. The gym is well equipped and maintained, and simple daily exercise is perfectly adequate. The overall privacy is good and the personnel are not noisy.
Overall, the hotel is comfortable, service and environment are well balanced, no lightning points. Whether it's business or travel, for quiet, clean and high quality accommodation with a good view, Shimao Hilton is well worth staying at. Changsha will give priority to this place next time you visit.

Spectacular long view of the city and river
Highlights
- The duty manager Ryan checked me in noon time professionally and he kindly assigned me a wonderful corner room with fantastic view of the city and river on the top 51th floor (180 degrees view). This spectacular round view during the day and night was one of the best I’ve ever experienced.
- The executive lounge offers delicious food and sweets/dessert at happy hour time. Sylvie and Irene from executive lounge were so friendly and treated me like feeling home
- The breakfast buffet was a bit busy, but I was lucky to be assigned in a small closed area without much noises
Improvement potentials
- According to the front desk, the hotel doesn’t allow Hilton owner diamond of goat members to be upgraded to a suite room, this is the second time I’ve experienced during my all stays at Hilton

Travelled as a family with infant.
Food was good - variety and quality.
Only had breakfast and 1 buffet dinner.
Room size and amenities was as per booking.
But there were issues.
1st issue was with the 1st room. Smelt like someone smoked in the room.
Windows were opened and air purifier provided. No change.
When i went to FO to ask about a room change, the FO staff told me cant confirm it with an attitude that the smoke smell in the room was my problem.
I requested for the FO MOD to call me and gave her my feedback. She did better and even confirmed a room change for me later in the evening.
2nd issue was with thr 2nd room.
The air-conditioning was central.
In the afternoon and evening, the entire room became like an oven.
Windows were opened to no avail.
When i called down i was told there was nothing they could do and could only offer 2 portable cold air blowers which i took though it offered little reprieve.
Hospitality is a full package, but the basics of getting a room right - which is what every guests pays for - should never be compromised.

Very satisfied with the stay experience
The Hilton Changsha Shimao was very satisfied. The front desk was very polite, the check-in was very efficient, and offered to upgrade my room and introduce the surrounding food and drink. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast options are many, both Chinese and Western food, now cooked noodle stalls and omelette area are delicious, tonic is also timely, there will be no empty plate situation. The waiter sees the one with the kid and offers to help with the cutlery, full of details. The hotel is also conveniently located, the surrounding dining, shopping are convenient, taxi, subway are not far, the travel experience is good. Overall, both hardware and service levels are very consistent with Hilton brand standards.

High floor with nice river view. New facilities and surroundings , service is super good and attentive to our needs.The staff were polite and welcoming , would definitely recommend to stay here.
