Our stay was outstanding. Staff were courteous, polite and extremely helpful. The accommodation matched photos, featuring:
- Pool
- Bar
- Restaurant
- Prime location
- we bought the ticket to celebrate new year's eve with locals which was lovely!
Tip: Request main door key upon check-in.

Oh, bad!!!! Run from this place

We rented a “triple comfort” room with private bathroom. But when we arrived and without Booking mentioning this at any time, the bathroom was outside the room, at the bottom of the hallway. When we complained the employee was extremely poorly polite and rude, began to devaluate the situation and insisted that the bathroom was outside, but exclusive of the room, although at the time of our arrival the door was open and no key to close. Only through a lot of insistence and discussion with the employee we got the key. But it's very embarrassing to have to leave the room, crossing us with the guests of the next-door rooms to go to the bathroom! There is no TV (only the appliance), no hairdryer, contrary to what the reservation says, so little coffee maker and toiletries-all this is in the reservation description. In the room, there is not a single mirror, nor is there a trash basket or a chair. Only the beds, a small fridge and a low table.
The acoustics are bad, you can hear all the noises of the other guests. As if it wasn’t enough, the doors open only with the introduction of a 7-digit code that we either memorize, or every time we want to open the door we have to consult our “cable” with said code. Imagine in the morning trying to open the complex door, in pajamas, after going to the bathroom, with people leaving the other rooms!!!??
They did not clean the bathroom or clean the room during our 2 nights stay.
Breakfast we didn't take for which we can't talk about this part.
The pool (understand tank) is on an ugly terrace, full of old furniture and trays. Don't be fooled because it's just a tank, ugly and without any charm.
Definitely a NO! Bad experience.

More like a B&B than a boutique hotel

I had booked a "suite with city view", I got an ordinary double room in the 1st floor. Floor to the street. My exchange with the receptionist revealed that there are virtually only rooms and larger apartments with kitchenette. Why the booking portals differentiate between Basic, Comfort and Deluxe could not be explained conclusively to me.
Possibly it was along with a heavy rain just before I arrived, but I had calculated more when I booked the most expensive room at a boutique hotel. The bottom line is that the Wi-Fi did not work in my room, the light in the bathroom neither, there was no bath mat and no soap, a hairdryer could only be obtained on request at the reception, which did not correspond to the presentation on the booking portals.
Breakfast was prepared on the roof terrace and served by ladies who didn't speak English, so it was difficult to talk to them about what you wanted and what you didn't. Up there stood all sorts of furniture crisscrossing, next to it was the washing machine, the bar was out of order, the very small pool dirty. One young man who was probably employed as a caretaker but helped out everywhere, including breakfast, was to be singled out. He spoke proper English, was helpful (including at breakfast) and solution-oriented.
A special experience with housekeeping: After the first night, I hung the "please make room" sign on the door and around afternoon my room was made. After that, the sign had disappeared and when the room was not made the next day, it was justified with a sign not hanging out. After the third night, I had to check out, but my room was still made in the morning before check-out when I was shopping briefly.
Obviously, this hotel doesn't have the core business under control. Nevertheless, it makes sense to get a clean accommodation in a central location. However, it is too expensive for what is on offer.

Small, clean, efficient rooms. Noise was a major issue as rooms have no noise insulation to stop sounds from hallways. We could hear conversations in the hallway crystal clearly and we lost sleep over this until all guests were asleep. Breakfast was nice. They are trying their best. Nice location close to bakery and mini market.

Nice clean room with balcony. All rooms have a Cabo Verde singer’s name instead of a number which is nice to learn more culture about the country. Good breakfast served on the rooftop. Friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
