Best staff

During our stay at the reno motel, the new manager Bob went above and beyond to ensure our comfort comfort. His attentiveness and genuine kindness made a lasting impression. Not only not only did he make sure we had everything we needed but even brought some toys from his own home for our children when he discovered we had forgotten ours. His attentiveness and willingness to help families including offering flexible pricing to ease financial burden and huge level of care that provided a personal service we received truly made our entire experience wonderful. Would definitely recommend the reno motel to anyone

Great place in Salmo, B.C.

We were pleasantly surprised with the rooms. They were cute and comfortable. Our only complaint was the very tiny sink in the bathroom. made it very awkward. Our daughter was in a one bedroom and it was very roomy and comfortable. It is also only a few blocks from the stores in Salmo

Basic Accomodations

We stayed here for one night while touring the Selkirk International Loop. This motel provides basic accommodations in a town with virtually no alternatives. The room was old and small. Bathroom needed updating. We never met any staff. However, it was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Bad experience at the Reno Motel

We arrived after dinner and the room was not cleaned yet. Was told the television did not work. Had to wait while they cleaned and changed the bedding. A noisy compressor turned off and on all night on the refrigerator making it hard to sleep. Barn door almost fell off of the bathroom. Saw lots of mold on the kitchen window ledge. Was given the room with no bathtub which i had requested 1 month prior. I asked the owner 5x for a room rate reduction and she made multiple excuses and charged my creditcard full price. I do not recommend staying there.

3rd time visitor

Third time we have stayed at Reno Motel and always had a fairly decent experience... but was disappointed this time. When we arrived, many things in the room were unclean.
Bed was clean but extremely high, so anyone short (or with back injury) might have difficulty getting into it.. though we had no problems with it.
Garbage found behind the nightstands on the last night we were there when my phone accidentally fell off the nightstand.
I realize this is a small town motel, and i applaud their effort to make it a better experience for travellers, but could have been a lot cleaner for the prices they charge.
I did get maid service once during our stay and they were quite good to come in a clean but still never saw the garbage behind the night stands,
ant infestation in the bathroom behind toilet and dead spiders in the corners of the room but they were good to clean other things.
I'm really hoping they turn it into something nice because this returning customer was sad to see all this..and i was hoping for a return visit next year :(
