It's not perfect, but it's amazing how well it's kept up in such a remote location all these years. The upgrades somewhat away from the old seventies feel is a shame but necessary. All around pleased with our stay.

Stay was comfortable , staff was accommodating , pools were not as clean as they should be lots of bugs and insects in the adult pool . Amenities were good and lots of trails to go on , over all a fun experience with the family would visit again

We greatly enjoyed our stay. Our room was updated and very clean, although not a lot of lights (which I personally prefer), if that matters to you. Even the bathroom was quite dim.
All of the staff were friendly. The restaurant staff sat us outside but warned us it was going to rain and they would help us move inside when the time came. We lucked out and it only just started as we were ready to pay. Our food arrived quick and was delicious.
The gift shop is small but handy. We were happy to find Tylenol!
The adult pool area has a hot tub, warm tub, cold plunge and pool, which is both indoors and outdoors. Can’t speak to the kids’ area as we’ve never been. Bar service is a nice touch.
The only negative thing this trip was no signage regarding the lighthouse trail being closed. We made it to the halfway point, where there was a fence announcing the remainder of the trail was closed. (the light out is being repaired). Lots of mosquitos so remember to have bug spray if you plan to be out in the trees.

Great stay overall- just one night. Driving up to the hotel it looks stunning and the front lobby area is equally stunning. Check-in was easy and got to check in early which was really nice. My room was very nice overall. I was on main floor. Some minor things to note was the floor could have been swept better, and the shower needed re-caulking. Otherwise the bed was very comfortable. The mini fridge ended up being so cold it froze my stuff. At checkout I let them know and they were apologetic and let their Maintenence know right away about it.
The adult only pool area was good overall. And drinks could be ordered to the pool if you wanted. Wished the sauna was functional. Restaurant was good and average priced.
The patio area was nice for morning coffee.
I would definitely stay again. Beautiful location for golfing, beach/hiking trails are nearby, and the Hecla Village historic walking tour down the road was a neat thing to do if you like history.
I would definitely stay again!

Highly recommended! The staff were fantastic from the minute we walked in the door until the time we left. The rooms were spacious and clean - bathrooms are very large - very nice! Lots of places to sit and soak up the sun. Evening campfires were awesome! Food was delicious - I can't say enough good things about this place!!
