Lovely boutique hotel in the heart of Ottawa

My wife and I enjoyed a lovely stay at the Swiss Hotel. This is a small boutique hotel that is close to Ottawa's downtown attractions, including the Byward Market, Parliament, etc. The owner and staff were incredibly pleasant and welcoming. The hotel and rooms are very clean. There's a common area with a coffee machine that makes coffee, espresso, etc. and a small closed in courtyard with greenery where we were able to relax with a glass of wine in the evening. We will definitely recommend this hotel to our friends and family and stay there again on future visits. The owner Sabina has ran the property for over 40 years; it felt nice to support local at a very reasonable price, cheaper than all of the nearby hotel chains. Worth the stay!

Room was super clean. Hotel was cute. No elevator in the property so just a heads up. Also no fridge in the room.
Over all the hotel was super nice and the staff was helpful. Area around the hotel not the greatest. Lots of homeless people around.

This is a little piece of Europe in downtown Ottawa - a couple blocks off the main drag in a quiet neighborhood. The owner has been a hotelier for decades, and it shows - all the details well taken care of. Fair warning - no elevator in the building, so rooms on levels 2 & 3 necessitate a bit of a hike up the stairs. Would strongly recommend, price is great, snd will stay again.

Great location and lovely staff. The room and amenities were very good. There is no elevator, so be ready to hoist your luggage up and down the stairs if you are not on first floor! There is a homeless shelter and a street clinic nearby, which made me a bit nervous about walking around the neighbourhood at night. But I didn't experience nor observe any negative incidents.

Clean room and amazing staff. But i didn’t get a good sleep because i keep on hearing people passing by the street, my windows are closed.
