Efficient, clean, welcoming.
Only stayed one night as we were on a road trip. Quick efficient checkin with hot cookies provided on arrival & the were gorgeous!
Decent room with coffee making facilities & a nice bathroom.

Room had a loud noise when the AC kicked in that was disruptive to our sleep. And a weird knocking noise in the wall during the day. Otherwise it was fine.

We stayed at the Hilton Treetop Hotel for a single night and left with mixed feelings.
On the positive side, the check-in process went smoothly and without any issues. However, the room itself left a lot to be desired, featuring a very odd and awkward layout.
The real issue, though, was breakfast. We are typically very easy-going people who don’t like to make a stink, but our time is valuable. It took over an hour and a half to get breakfast for our family of four, which is completely unreasonable. They had a single, brand-new server working the tables who clearly hadn't been trained yet and didn't know her job. Because of this, the service was awful, and the food itself was highly subpar.
To make matters worse, when we requested to speak to a manager about the situation, there was no manager available on duty. It is incredibly unfair to leave a brand-new employee completely on her own without leadership support, and it ruined what should have been a quick morning meal for our family. We won't be rushing back.

If you drive a big truck it’s very difficult to park there. Parking is limited and you have to pay for it. We didn’t get back to our hotel till later in the evening around 9pm and there was no parking let and when we asked the front desk where we should park as we have a bigger truck and couldn’t fit in the underground, we were told to park in the spot that says no parking and they won’t tow us. We were kinda worried at first but that came from the front desk guy who also looked like the manager so I trusted him. We were fine the next morning but the whole hassle could’ve been avoided had they have more parking spaces.

We stayed at the Doubletree Kamloops for 1 night in May 2026 when travelling from Vancouver to Calgary.
The hotel itself is fine, what you would expect from a Doubletree, and for 1 night met our needs. The welcome from the front desk was warm and they were keen to interact with our son who was excited for the pool.
The pool area is outdoors but not heated and by the late afternoon was largely in shade, so was slightly cool. The hot tub was warm. The pool area was fine but probably not as well maintained as I’d have expected with leaves and other debris floating in the water.
We ate both a dinner and breakfast at the hotel. Dinner was a nice meal, average prices but breakfast was usual. The restaurant was deserted when we arrived and eventually a staff member appeared. Again the breakfast was nice but overpriced as per most hotels.
The location was adequate for our needs. Did note a lot of ongoing construction in the area. Overall it met our needs.
