Great place to stay!

As soon as I walked into reception, there was a nice fireplace in view and a lovely orange cat ran up to greet me! The desk person was very nice. Even gave us two free soft drinks after I signed in. We needed a motel with a direct, no stairs entrance from Vehicle to Room and this motel was within a reasonable price range. Most motels are so dingy and dark when you enter them, but this one was bright and cheery, clean and had everything necessary for a comfortable stay. My husband had his knee surgery and then we stayed a second night. The best part was that it had a fridge and a microwave! Even the most expensive hotels don't offer that these days. Very convenient. The only strange thing was that the bed was so high up. I'm 5 ft 2 and it was very hard to get on it! The mattress and pillows were very comfortable though. The room seemed newly renovated. We were in 159. I also loved that there were plug ins on both sides of the bed. The bathroom, was nice and bright, and tub and shower were great. Easy to adjust the heat. Good wifi. Great location away from rifraf. No problem with loud people or parties like other motels in town. It was on same street as hospital so easy to get to, when you come in from out of town. I would highly recommend this motel.

I was only there for a short rest to start driving again early in the morning, but the adjoining guest kept me up till four in the morning no sleep

When I arrived front door was locked and to call a number and someone showed up to check in. The owner does not speak any English well so I was very difficult to communicate. The room itself was adequate enough but I would not recommend for a solo female traveller. When you open the inside door to the hallway the place look abandoned, half the lights were off, a mattress was laying along a wall, maybe they are fixing up the place but it didn't look like there was actual work being done. Over night I felt so uneasy about staying I moved a chair in from of each of doors just in case.

Motel was getting actively renovated during our stay, there was an unbearable smell that lingered in from the hall way, and the sheets/blankets were all dirty. We had no choice but to stay as owner charged my credit card as soon as we arrived for the full five days. So we went and bought our own sheets and blankets and cleaning supplies to wipe down the room completely and be comfortable enough to sleep there. Every time we tried talking to the own he kept saying he doesn’t understand. Did not speak English well at all and was very rude whenever we tried to complain. And there was a huge upcharge due to an event happening in the city room rates were almost double regular rate. And they advertised a continental breakfast but when we arrived the breakfast bar was torn apart for renovations and no compensation was provided.
