We enjoyed our room and the location is great.

This is a hard one to review as we travelled with another couple and there room was significantly underwhelming compared to ours. However the hotel is in a great location, parking is available on site which is a bonus when visiting Banff and given that it was not originally built as a hotel that somewhat explains the "quirky" and somewhat confusing layout.
We had suite 301; single level and reasonable size with a balcony. The drawback for us was the bathroom - big but the shower and toilet are in a tiny space behind another door and the toilet was exceptionally low so that using it was quite challenging for an older person with bad knees. Other than that the bed was comfy and we had good sleep while there. The hotel does not have air conditioning in the rooms but we did not find this to be a problem. Sitting out on the balcony after a day out was relaxing. We would rate the hotel 4/5.
Our friends on the other hand had a loft bedroom, downstairs bathroom and they felt their room was very hot so they did not have a good sleep. The hotel provided fans but this did not help them (we also had fans in our room but did not use them). They also tried the onsite breakfast which is in a weird place in the parking garage and they said the food was underwhelming. So they would not recommend the hotel.

We understand your concerns regarding the differences between the rooms, particularly when travelling with another couple. As you noted, Brewster Mountain Lodge has a unique layout and character due to the building’s history, and our variety of room styles can certainly result in different experiences. We’re sorry to hear that your friends found their loft room too warm and that the fans did not provide sufficient comfort. While our building does not have air conditioning in the guest rooms, we understand how important a comfortable temperature is for a good night’s sleep, and we regret that this affected their stay. Despite these concerns, we’re glad that you personally had an enjoyable stay and appreciated the comfort and relaxing balcony. In regards of the other hôtels of my trip, way to expensive for what it brings......not pratical with a car, parking spot limited

The layout of the hotel is rather maze-like and a bit awkward for parking. Breakfast included is nice for saving $ in an expensive town.

Loved Brewster Mountain Lodge!

BML is centrally located in downtown Banff. The front desk staff couldn't be more friendly or helpful. The lobby was spotless and there were delicious snacks for the guest at the front desk. The rooms were roomy and the mattress was just right. I highly recommend BML and definitely will be a repeat customer.
