Overall Very good hotel
We had a very pleasant 8-night stay at Banff Park Lodge. Overall, the hotel is comfortable, well maintained, and the staff are genuinely friendly and helpful. A special mention goes to Nanami at the buffet, who was exceptionally kind, attentive, and always willing to help. Her warm service really added to our experience.
Our suite was clean, tidy, and well maintained, and overall we felt very comfortable during our stay.
There are, however, a few points worth mentioning. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations. Some noise from the construction opposite the hotel is understandable and, of course, something the hotel cannot really control. What I found more disappointing was the extent to which the hotel’s own renovation work affected the guest experience.
The information on the website suggested that there would be only minor inconvenience due to renovations. Unfortunately, that description did not quite match reality. The renovation work is clearly noticeable, particularly around the lobby and elevators and, even more so, in both restaurants. There are temporary barriers, visible cables, construction materials, and you can see and hear the work taking place while dining. The construction workers themselves were very polite and professional, so this is certainly not a criticism of them. It is more about the overall presentation and the level of disruption.
I did mention this to the hotel during our stay, but unfortunately I did not feel that much was done in response. This was really the only significant downside to an otherwise enjoyable stay.
Under normal circumstances, I would consider Banff Park Lodge a solid 4-star hotel. At the moment, however, I would give it 3 stars because of the renovation situation and, in particular, because the level of disruption was not accurately reflected on the website. I would not describe this as a bad hotel at all — quite the opposite. Once the renovations are completed, I would happily return and would expect to give it 4 stars.
With the renovations finished, I believe Banff Park Lodge has the potential to offer a very good experience again. The friendly staff, comfortable rooms, and pleasant atmosphere certainly deserve recognition.

Great stay!
I would recommend this hotel to friends and family and I would stay here again. Despite the ongoing construction, it never felt like any of that was a distraction or in the way. The location is very convenient and we got almost everywhere by walking. The rooms were clean and the recent renovations turned our great.

Great location
Banff Park Lodge is a nice place to stay in central Banff. They were undergoing a renovation during my visit but it wasn't disruptive to my experience. Hopefully they'll renovate the fitness center to match the new look. The rooms very nice, quiet and very comfortable. The breakfast was a nice range of food and decent value for the area.

The Friday night buffet at Crave was very nice and reasonably priced.
Overall nice hotel (despite some remodel/construction activity). Good location to enjoy the town of Banff and to visit surrounding areas.
