EXCELLENT FOOD!!!!!

As a local, I am embarrassed that tonight was my first visit to the Cabot Restaurant. My friend and I wanted to meet up for a nice meal and she thankfully chose this restaurant. We both had steaks with mashed potatoes, turnip and carrots, gravy and topped with onion rings. One bite in for each of us and we were delighted with our meals. The steaks were cooked EXACTLY as we requested. The servers were attentive, kind and professional. The dining room is smallish, tidy and well organized with an INCREDIBLE view of the Bras d'Or. Everything was perfect...except we didn't have room for dessert. Reasonably priced, well presented and incredible food so do yourself a favour and go here!!!!!!!!!!

Beautiful view, updating needed

We selected this hotel due to the outdoor photo of the motel and the beautiful view. The staff are friendly and there is an onsite restaurant. It is 5 minute drive to Baddeck and it was quiet in the evening. Parking is great, just outside of your room and our room had a shared patio overlooking the lake. There is also a motel owned viewing gazebo right on the waters edge and a dock, jellyfish can be viewed on warm weather days. The room was in desperate need of updating, changing the bedspread would make a difference and removing the rust from around the bathtub drain would help. The bathroom was very 70’s. If you like the 70’s motel vibe then this is it.

I was gratefully surprised by the place it is really good although old is really well maintained and cozy.
Definitely staying here again.

Right on the TCH. Easy friendly check in. Property clean The carpet in our room was very damp had to wear shoes. Dry the next morning Small bathroom but served the purpose Double befs Breakfast was fast. Delicious. Very friendly staff

Price versus room, it is way too much, but we had no choice, the only motel in the area

1970s hotel, carpet with cigarette burns. But… it is almost the only motel on the Cabot Trail. So, they happily charge you $199 for the night, NO breakfast included of course. But there is a restaurant. The positive point, there is a beautiful view of the lake, when you pay for it of course.
