A Nice Welcome to Limbe

Fini Hotel happens to be the second hotel I got to stay in Cameroon. The first was at the border town of Ekok and it wasn't really that much. Perhaps the rating is done in comparison. That said, location wise, Fini is a nice place to stay. It's located along the Sonara road on the beach in Limbe. Considerably, it's okay although it's not the number place to stay in the evolving town. The staff are okay, even if they can use a bit more training. Truth is most accommodation properties around there need to train their staff on etiquettes of the hospitality industry. The restaurant area is great, overlooking the black sand beach. When the tide recedes, especially in the day, you can walk along the beach. Cleanliness along the beach is a factor though. That's a sore point, because even along the roads, you will find refuse heaps.

My time at fini hotel bobende

It was good, I really enjoyed the view of the Atlantic ocean, fresh see breeze, good swimming pool and the variety of African and European dishes provided, security is at the maximum,
Good packing space, an excellent customer service.
I can't forget the comfort I experienced, I felt at home, I was treated like a king, intact I felt royal.
Fini hotel is an experience I will never forget.
The rooms are so large and comfortable.
I can't wait for my new holiday to fini hotel.

Good location, acceptable standards

We stayed there as a family for a couple of nights, overall our stay was pleasant: the minimum standards are there: service, cleanliness, rooms and restaurant. The pool is great, food OK, even if choices are limited. The beach is close but mostly used for a walk, not maintained. If compared with other hôtels in the Limbe, this one is acceptable...and don't miss the crocodiles!

A long way from the town

What an unusual place! Nice pool and views over a not impressive beach, the rooms are pretty basic. I had no problems during my stay, and reception were helpful in booking me a car from the airport and back again (but horrendously overpriced). The Fini is a long way out of the centre of Limbe. Breakfast was not worth the bother and the evening buffet did not look appetising. I got great meals in a little place across the street.

Problems after problems...!

We first arrived in the Superior Room (with ocean view) having painting job that was getting done right on our balcony. Second, air conditioning was not working. TV neither (they said they would come to change it the next morning, which they end up doing 2 days later). No shower towels in the room... Pool was really dirty. Also, there was a party the day we arrived. Staff said it would be over really quickly (at 5pm) so we were comprehensive. Finally, we end up not sleeping until 1am because the party never stopped... we even had to litteraly change room haha! That is so absurd! So in the end, our first day was mainly dedicated to do back and forth at the frontdesk to solve all those problems... which only led us to a 10 000 CFC discount for all those troubles. We try buying drinks at the bar on the last day but had no barman or ingredients to do so.... so we ended up going being the bar to make our own Marguaritas, which they charge us 7000 CFC each hahaha! Crazy. We totally not recommend this hotel... a big 1/10 customer's service... note also that the beach is not that accessible. There is plenty of others hotels near center city.
