Keep going back

I first visited the Hotel Farol in 1998 and have been back many times since. This is a historic building (remember to check out the picture in the lobby of the original hotel in 1929) that has retained some of the old with some of the new. Wi-fi can be a bit tricky, but get off your computer and enjoy everything the city has to offer!
There's a variety of rooms available at different rates, but expect to see much of the hotel as it was in the 70s. The top floor is the most updated and offers the best views.
The Hotel Farol is located a two-minute walk from the beach and is close to restaurants and other amenities, as well as must-see spots in Torres. We'll be back again!

Bad experience

Me and my boyfriend were this weekend April 12/13 of 2025 to spend the night in commemoration of our dating month, we took a room from the side to Meira mar , a very simple room and a horrible bed and the shower is not even spoken , by the structure of the hotel and the amount we paid I leave a lot to desire, out the breakfast no option and the things very simple by the whole structure of the hotel we went once and will be the last n recommend .

Needs renovation and breakfast options

Very old hotel, very bad bed old mattress, shower does not heat, morning coffee with no option of anything to eat and what has is bad and it looks like they are not fresh.
Even taking the best accommodation they have is bad.
Parking needs to get off the car to ask for them to open and parking is far from the hotel.

The horrible truth

Very low quality zero star hotel, they don't give you shampoo or conditioners, rooms from the Cromanion era, no safe, lousy breakfast, little variety, only 1 elevator, which was broken, without a power generator, the electricity was cut off, wooden beds, hard mattresses and old pillows, sheets without style, towels from when the hotel was opened in 1929, a hair dryer with problems, you used it and the thermal heater would trip, I could go on listing countless things, in short there was no Nothing good

Cheap and excellent point

I stayed only for a weekend but I could enjoy everything. The hotel is a one square far from the beach, in the same avenue is the access to the most amazing touristic place that is named Morro do Farol where u can admire the sea n watching whales. Back to hotel, u can enjoy the swimming pool, games, get room with sea view, is cheap and very friendly staff. I do recomend.
