Great option

We were in Trinidad in early December 2025.
The second time we stayed in this hostel.
Great location on the main street of the village.
Quadruple room with breakfast, parking and internet.
Family environment
Great service.
We will definitely return.

OH, BAD! I WILL NEVER RETURN AND I DO NOT RECOMMEND. Details in the description

OH, SORRY!!! I'll never come back and I don't recommend it.
It was my first and last experience. Lots of troubles and huge damage. No assistance nor humanity from the owners in the face of a serious emergency situation.
I paid to VISTA for the period from 18 to 25/01/2026, but I had to check out early on 21/01, because my daughter fell ill and was bad for 3 days with an acute picture of poisoning, virosis or even dengue. There is no nearby medical assistance in the village, only a small pharmacy. The website informs that, for medical care, it is necessary to move to Paraty, but they do not inform about the terrible journey of about 5 km to the BR-101, Paraty direction, extremely steep and dangerous, especially for those who do not know the region (strict, winding, around a hill, risk of slipping, half-piste stretch. This rainy morning my daughter had a high fever. I was awake from 1am to attend her, in a place with no electricity, no battery, no sign and no knowledge of anything there. I was unable to walk alone overnight in this dark, risky, hard-to-access place. The village is extremely precarious: power and internet signal and telephony are constantly falling. It was enough for us to stay two days in a row without energy and no signal, in the dark, in a tight room, cold bath and food spoiling in the fridge bar.
Today, even, the fruits of the breakfast were gone and the juices without proper refrigeration. The hostel does not have a generator, something common in other local lodging and commerce, since the problem is recurrent and known.
At dawn, at 8 a.m., when the doors of the guesthouse were opened, I called the person responsible for the care (I stayed for 4 days, the owners didn't even show up there ). She informed the owner by email, as there was no sign of WhatsApp. But the email wasn't coming either. In view of the situation, he suggested that I move to their other hostel in Ubatuba to try to solve it personally. Before leaving, I made it clear that I knew the rules, but because it was a health emergency, I expected some good sense: transfer the 4 days already paid to the guest house of Ubatuba, where I know and has more structure or at least allow us to stay there until the day 23/01, whose information was confirmed in my WhatsApp. Arriving in Ubatuba, my signal returned and I received the message from the owner, offering as the only solution the credit from 4 days to low season, specifying from March to August. I went to the hostel to try to speak in person. She was not on the spot, an employee called her and I talked through her phone, but even aware of everything and through my emotional state shaken, exhausted, sleepy and desperate, practically begging for landing, she was inflexible, rough and indifferent, repeating that “it was me who left before”, that “I would not make any refunds according to your rules”, that @cannot receive me in Ubatuba even for this night.” Both my sick daughter, and I with the night in clear and on the wheel to travel even more 400 km, rotating my car today in SP, under a lot of rain, we were unable to return home. Thank God and the goodwill of a couple, that in another place of Ubatuba, I got another accommodation, but this extra cost is totally out of my budget.
For this Flávia, which I don't even know who it is, total distance from the guests, I felt only a number, with a few thousand reais completely lost. Today is my birthday, information that was in the reserve, and it wasn't even remembered. I planned this trip for a year, with only one week available in January. They promise “care and affection” to the guests. In practice, I found total neglect and neglect. With a minimum of empathy, this situation would have had a simple solution. I never imagined going through this and hope not to happen again. I am an honest citizen, I fulfill my duties and I demand to be respected in my rights which I have full discernment of and know the competent ways for such

Disappointing!

My husband and I went to have breakfast and stayed in the lounge until 10:10 talking, while an employee took things out of the breakfast. That's why this lady told us to withdraw because she had to clean the salon, in an aggressive way and said it was the order of the hostess. As if it wasn't enough that lady's unelegance, after my husband said she didn't need to be badly polite, she tried to strike him with a tap. This is absurd!!!

Very bad experience. Booking randomly cancelled without notification.

Booked it through book.com site and received a confirmation payment to be made upon check-in. Received a message to proceed with payment transfer in up to 24hrs. Arrived at the Pousada Luar do Prata (well before the 24hrs) to find out my booking was randomly cancelled. Very deceiving and poor experience. Reception staff dismissive. Watch out: I would not recommend it for anyone.

Top of the line

Trindade is NOT a place for luxury, however hospitality at this pousada is a 10. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Location is perfect ... management and staff SUPER friendly and available. Fabio and his with Aline are great people and were of tremendous help!
I highly recommend and suggest!
Obrigada Fabio e Camila!
