Good standards and professional

Great food, fantastic service, well managed, trained staff. Cozy rooms with all ammenities functioning. Nice public spaces.

Joseph tried to rip us off!

Joseph the waiter presented us with a bill and was insistent that my friend "tap tap". When checked the bill was US$500 over what we'd had. When we objected he said "tax & tips" then he ran away. He returned and said "I don't get it". Check your bill very carefully. Otherwise they will rip you off big time!

Not bad

It is a 3 stars with some quality but poorly preserved and lack of taste, much in an African record. It is in a good location, between the airport and Porto Novo. Breakfast quite reasonable, staff helpful and friendly. Spacious room with good quality sleep.

Beautiful place

Very nice hotel with a large swimming pool and a restaurant of beautiful outfit. The service is neat. The rooms are not very large but sufficient. Very good option for a stay in Cotonou. Relatively high prices, however, but at the level of services

Ideal

Hotel du Lac remains the hotel offering the best value for money on Cotonou. Perfection is almost complete. Certainly, there are sometimes malfunctions but this is not a general rule and when they occur, they are quickly fixed. The staff is, from security guards to valets to reception, restaurant morning/noon/evening, swimming pool, etc., for the most part, of exemplary availability, friendliness, professionalism. Some criticisms to the kitchen which, being behind the scenes and therefore not directly confronted with the moods of customers, can sometimes commit some blunders. But it's really not a consistency. When you are regular, you would like to have variants in the map but it remains respectable. The rooms are properly maintained every day. There is a wide range of standing. The environment and tranquillity remain very good even if the commissioning of the road along the lagoon can somewhat mitigate them. No more. The internet connection is satisfactory. For my part, I gave up struggling to try to have less sports channels and a little more movie channels because it is a recurring problem in many hotels that I frequent. The Hotel Management is generally attentive and attentive to the Customer. Thus, this is the gift that the loyal customer, without always being friendly can receive. Strong recommendation therefore knowing that the availability of rooms is sometimes counted.
