Humbling Ypres

We had a wonderful weekend at B&B Lauras. A beautiful, spotless family b&b. A lovely family not forgetting Oscar their lovely chocolate Labrador. The b&b is only 5 minutes bus ride or a few minutes by car to the centre of the stunning city of Ypres with its beautiful architecture and great restaurants. The b&b is also in a great location for all of the war cemeteries and museums, today we visited Tynecot and hill 60 which is about a 3 minute drive. A lovely family, a lovely b&b and a lovely city. Will be back soon.

Not worth its money!

We had high hopes of this rather new b&b. It looked really good on the website.
But... a small, claustrophobic room with absolutely no room for storage, a tiny wonky table, only one armchair, a filthy chalked up kettle covered in dust, a tv with only a few rubbish channels and a disturbed picture, rusty flaky outside furniture, I must say: not done!!
One of the worst places we've ever stayed in.

Excellent place to stay

This is an excellent base to visit surrounding war cemeteries and sites. Within easy reach of Ypres. Very welcoming and helpful.excellent breakfast, lovely clean room in a peaceful setting. Would recommend.

Excellent B&B

This is a very good B&B on the outskirts of Ypres. Ann and Lawrence are extremely good hosts. When unfortunately we arrived late in the evening, they were both understanding.
The rooms are of a very high standard and the bed was fabulous.
All round, this is one of the best places to stay in the area.
No question for us, we look forward to our next visit.

Amazing place to stay

We booked for a week but wish we could stay longer. Ann and Lawrence are fabulous hosts, friendly and helpful. Their English is very good so no language barriers. Rooms very comfy and clean the bed is huge about 6ft across. Breakfast is delicious everything fresh and lots of it inc bread, rolls, croissants, cereal, meat, cheese, fruit, yogurt I could go on. Location, whilst situated a little way out of town (5k) is ideal for some peace and quiet. It is on a bus route and cycle paths are in abundance for the fit. Would definitely recommend B&B Laurus as a place to stay and hopefully will return again.
PS We also love Oscar the friendly Chocolate Labrador dog xx
