Always in order
We have been regular customers at Pure for years, and we are always satisfied! We always receive a friendly welcome from the staff, the saunas are always clean, and the snacks are delicious. We will be back soon!

Customer unfriendly
Wanted to redeem a gift voucher that I was unable to use earlier due to circumstances. The voucher was only valid for 9 months, 1 month after the date, this voucher was no longer accepted. No leniency arrangement was even offered. Even a response to my follow-up letter turned out to be too much effort.

Avoid room number 1
The place is clean and modern. The staff is friendly. There is an easy parking. The room is cosy and there is the possibility to make a tea. The breakfast is simple but good and can start early.
I was in room number 1, I would recommend another room. You can hear what's happening at the reception (music, voices…), you are next to the breakfast area and you sometimes get to smell chlorine from the pool downstair.
I would have appreciated a warm temperature in the bathroom, I did not find any heating control there.
I would consider staying there another time, just not in that room.

Combo stay with dinner & sauna
As part of a surprise wedding anniversary arrangement, my husband booked a room here, after our dinner in Nuance (short car ride away). When you drive up the parking, the first impression might indeed be a bit peculiar, as it feels you are entering an industrial area. That said, the entrance is nice with very friendly staff welcoming you, the warmth & typical smell of the saunas and pools as well ofc. Our room was ok, standard size, with big open closset and seperate bathroom with shower. A minor point were the bad quality of pillows. Breakfast was very good, with eggs being served by the very friendly staff. We had a 3h private sauna arrangement after breakfast and appreciated the gesture of keeping our room afterwards for an extra hour, to shower and change our clothings. Overall, a very good experience for this combo arrangement.

In the middle of nowhere .....
To say that this hotel is remote is an understatement! It looks like a converted warehouse at the back of an industrial estate between Lier and Duffel. It is very remote and you will need a car or taxis if you wish to go out in the evening. There are no restaurants or cafes or even shops within comfortable walking distance!
Access to the floor where the rooms are is via a very, very steep flight of wooden stairs. There is no lift so a person of limited mobility would certainly struggle here.
The room was spacious and not badly furnished with bright colours and wicker bedside tables. The bathroom is modern with a shower cubicle only and no bath. There were some toiletries but the shower had a bottle of shower gel and one of shampoo both of which smelled like they contained a bulk-buy and not the fancy name on the packaging!
The breakfast is good. It is the same every day ... a boiled egg (soft or hard - your choice), a plate with one slice each of ham, salami and two different cheeses scattered with a few nuts and raisins. There is a basket containing one slice of toasted bread, one croissant and two rolls. Also a glass of fresh orange juice (very nice!) and one with thin yoghurt drink and some fruit. All-in-all very good and if one were staying only one night it would be fine. I was there for five nights and it was a bit too much the same every day.
We have now hit the high water mark of my stay. Everything else is not so good! The room cleaning is SO BAD as to be almost non-existent. All they do is to change the towels and tidy (not make!) the bed. They do not sweep or mop the floors or clean the shower cubicle or basin. After my third night I asked them to change the sheets, sweep and mop the floors and also to spray the bathroom against the legion of silverfish which lurked under the tile skirting and were all over the floor whenever the bathroom light was switched on. They did as requested but that was the ONLY time. The water marks and stains remained on the bathroom floor and the bed remained unmade (except by me) for the remainder of my stay. I do not find this acceptable at all! Had I stayed for one night only then I would not have noticed!
Finally, there is adequate, free Wifi for multiple devices and a TV in the room but not one single channel in English. Not even the ubiquitous BBC News or CNN!
I would not stay here again no matter how convenient it was to where I was working and I find it hard to recommend to anyone else.
