Vacation to enjoy
Another wonderful vacation with our grandchildren. From the welcome to the farewell, everything was perfect; for all of us (2 adults and 2 children), it was a very cozy, but above all, very relaxing vacation! A special highlight for the 7-year-old twins was the daily time spent in the indoor pool. Breakfast and dinner were plentiful and, especially for the children, very well seasoned. Special praise for the excellent red wines; they served as the perfect end to the day for my wife and me!!

Very good price-performance ratio, recommended

A hotel nightmare
Rarely experienced such a rundown hotel. The receptionist is both barmaid and waitress, correspondingly overwhelmed and unfriendly. She tells us that brought food is forbidden in the bar area and points to half a packet of salt almonds. The food is gruesome, ready-to-eat food at its worst, the beer undrinkable, scarf, badly chilled, the so-called wellness area: already at 5 pm no clean towel left, dozens of used plastic cups standing around, the shower only works to a limited extent, the hose is leaky, etc. The staff in the background (cleaning, kitchen) are very friendly but apparently severely overwhelmed Never again.

Poor cuisine, poor accessibility
Terrible cuisine. They really should hire another cook. Nothing was good. I never complain about the kitchen because it is always something to choose. But that was really not to eat .The sauna is very small and dated. The hotel itself is located on a mountain . The road to this mountain is challenging in winter conditions.
There is nothing to do in the area. The ski lift of the Bürgealps did but half the slope was closed. The nearby somewhat larger village Mariazel is a very unsociable village also nothing to do there. Only good ski lift was in Annaberg 25 km from there. Overall had a very bad holiday.

3 star hotel for families
3-star hotel designed for families with children, in this sense a good option. The hotel is a few minutes drive from Mariazell.
The rooms are simple but cozy. Pleasant (for children) the pool, even if the water was a bit cold. Definitely to improve the breakfast - little choice (almost nothing sweet) and not even an automatic coffee machine. Reception and service a bit slow and disorganized but still kind.
