Friendly. Very handy for piste.

The staff were so welcoming. Healthy but tasty food for breakfast. One member of group is Coeliac and they were very helpful and attentive.

Fantastic hotel next to the slopes in Obergurgl.

We have recently returned from a great skiing holiday in Obergurgl. The hotel was perfectly sited, so near to the slopes but also in an exceptionally quiet area at night. Our room was spacious and beautifully furnished with an outstanding bathroom. Every meal was delightfully presented and the food was delicious. Many thanks to Barbara, Maximilian and the hotel staff for making our holiday so memorable.

Top class family run hotel with outstanding service

The Grunerhof is a delightful family run hotel - operated by people who really do seem to genuinely care. My wife and I stayed for 6 nights and everything about the place is perfect for a refined ski holiday - the food is top class (white glove service) and plentiful. The location of the hotel is also perfect. You can ski directly back to opposite the basement boot room (left hand side of the main blue 6 ski run which comes right back into the village). Our German is unfortunately extremely limited (sorry) but the team kindly translated everything and made recommendations and external bookings on our behalf. We have no hesitation at all in recommending the Grunerhof and would like to thank all the team for such an enjoyable stay.

Wonderful boutique hotel with a completely different approach to offering than the competition

Our first stay in Obergurgl ever, gave us 10 days of pleasure in the wonderful Hotel Grünerhof, which we came across via internet. The small, totally renovated boutique hotel, located at the end of the village right next to lifts and slopes, we liked extraordinarily well. The host family has had the courage to take the former Apparthotel to a new, but not overpriced level, and to convey a true sense of well-being with the use of natural materials. The rooms are winderly and spacious, south facing is recommended. In addition, there is a small and fine wellness with two saunas and sunbathing room. The culinary experiences are not cheap, but simply a treat. The owners have taken a slightly different approach - according to our experience in Austria. So the morning meal is served at the table, with daily smaller variations and ordering what makes you want from the menu. In the evening you can choose from the menu what suits you right now. So parts from the multi-course menu or individual dishes on the menu. Everything can be combined, even special requests are in it. So there is no so-called half board. Three times a week you can eat something special on individual theme nights, which then at really very hospitable prices. With this concept, you can also go out to eat in between and test the other restaurants of the small place. Hospitality deserves special mention. Starting with the senior chef Mrs. Grüner, with whom we had many entertaining conversations, to the junior chef and top chef Maximilian and the extremely nice staff in all areas. In short - it's just all true in this hotel. Where are we coming back!

Fantastic

A beautiful friendly brand new family hotel.
In Austria not experienced such a fantastic cuisine. Max cooks at star level ⭐️⭐️⭐️
The garden is beautifully landscaped and lends itself perfectly to a delicious glass of wine!
Parking also totally top. Choice both inside and out. This is especially nice for winter sports.
Restaurant, room etc.. everything very clean and cared for.
Will definitely be back next summer!
