We really enjoyed it, we would love to come back!

Warm welcome from the boss personally, room a bit older but very clean, private beach top, very beautiful grounds.
The breakfast buffet is excellent.

Simple hotel with direct lake access

The rooms are functionally equipped and clean,
but the hotel (4*) has all the charm of a youth hostel.
Everything necessary is available, but nothing beyond
such as gyms or a bar for an evening drink.
Also the nearby possibility to eat (restaurant by the beach next door)
is not the hit from the Mood and quality and is only enough for emergency catering.
(Mon. Tue. are most other localities in the area too).
So what's the 4* for?
Traffic noise from the nearby lakeside road and the railway line above
are tolerable with closed windows.
Relaxed holidays are different.
Breakfast :
All sufficient, but cakes not crispy.
TV (Samsung) with underground snarling sound,
Hard to bear for the news.
Reception : only available on request (telephone),
The staff but very friendly and accommodating - high praise!
This also applies to all other servants in the hotel.
Music sprinkling with local radio station (presentation, advertising) in the entrance area
and at breakfast - If you like that, you don't mind.
The hotel has only a narrow private beach with shallow entrance and small jetty.
Going for a swim is enough.
In the photos, to the right of the hotel's narrow lake access, you can see the wider beach resort.
For guests with their own bicycles, a lockable bicycle rack is available,
but which is not covered and is not illuminated in the evening.

Friendly despite many guests

It was very nice. Even though it was very busy, they still tried to serve us well. We understood that we would have to wait a bit for the drinks. The staff were very friendly and tried very hard.

We were looking for a place to stay between Vienna and Pisa and we found Strandhotel Faak along the way at a reasonable price. The staff was attentive and very pleasant (they spoke English in addition to several other languages). The breakfast was included and was very good (e.g. eggs made to order). We visited during February, so their main amenity (i.e. sunbathing and swimming in the Faak See) was not available to us. We look forward to visiting again during the summertime to get the full experience of this hotel.
