A dream!!!! Very hard to leave….
Bliss from start to finish - and I don’t want it to finish……
We’d wanted to stay at The Ardo since visiting Terasu and Marmor (the on site restaurants) when previously staying next door at The Ville.
We had a spacious suite with a large bath on the balcony, so it was hard to get motivated to do anything other than sit in the bath relishing the views!!!! Just stunning. It does take a looooong time to fill that huge bath though, so a faster running tap could be an improvement! But as to improvements, the only other two we noted would be to have a second hook in the bathroom so that both bathrobes can be hung up, and a shower cap provided, as is normal.
Service wise - spot on - when requested, a wine bucket arrived quickly, towels were changed quickly and poolside drinks ordered via the QR code arrived quickly.
I’m even reviewing this whilst still on site, having checked out no more than 20 minutes ago, but sitting in the very calm foyer area enjoying the phenomenal view, and trying hard to delay departure…… ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
PS: a short walk out along the breakwater gives a nice view back to the complex.

Overall, Ardo is a beautiful hotel with stunning interiors and equally beautiful rooms. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return, but there are a few areas that would make the experience feel much more complete.
The biggest thing missing for us was a relaxed café/bar within the hotel itself — somewhere to get a good morning coffee, sit and enjoy the beautiful lobby during the day, or have an evening drink. The rooftop bar is lovely, but during our stay it was simply too windy to comfortably sit outside. We also didn’t really want to go next door for breakfast, as although it’s convenient, the atmosphere and overall vibe just isn’t the same as Ardo.
A little more attention to minibar replenishment would also have been appreciated.
We dined at the Japanese restaurant, which is a beautiful space and was an enjoyable experience overall. One disappointment was that the menu specifically listed Hokkaido scallops, however the scallops we were served were not Hokkaido scallops. We completely understand that ingredients can change depending on availability, but it would have been much better to be told in advance that a substitute was being served.
These are relatively small things in what was otherwise a lovely stay. Ardo is a gorgeous hotel with a lot going for it, and with a few refinements to the food, beverage and service offering, it could be exceptional. We would definitely stay again.

Smokers hotel
Had to move rooms due to ciggy smoke in room.
When we pointed out to manager that the hotel website says "non smoking throughout " the condsending nite manager Henry said " if it offends you so much we supose we have to move you
