This gem in Perth was a nice place to stay while transitioning between flights. A quick trip from the Perth railway station via Uber and we were there. Check-in was quick once the barman had finished serving customers. The room was great, with a nice, comfy bed; however, we were unable to tune in any free-to-air TV stations so YouTube it was. The bathroom had a lovely clawfoot bath and a rainfall-type shower head, although it could do with some extra drainage. When using the shower, water ran under the bath and pooled at the foot of the toilet. The room came with complimentary breakfast which would have to have been THE best complimentary breakfast we have ever had. Worth a stay just for the brekky!

After arriving mid afternoon for what was supposed to be an enjoyable anniversary staycation, we instead had what has been one of the worst experiences we have ever had at a hotel.
On arrival the staff couldn’t find a room key for us and the whole checkin procedure was minimal and unusual to say the least. Almost no real process and a very young staff member who didn’t seem to know much at all, even more so later when trying to order anything at the bar. Once they were able to arrange a key, we were handed that with nothing else. No instruction on facilities, wifi, meals or check out, just a there is a lift if you need it and your room 1-level 1.
Upon arrival to our room there was a note taped to our door that advised the air conditioning is under upgrade, so we had been given a temporary mobile unit. It was a hole cut in the roof right next to the bed, with a large pipe coming out of it attached to a portable generator type unit. It was that loud that we had to turn it off whenever in the room just to talk. This meant the room got incredibly stuffy and unpleasant overnight, so we had to turn it back on. Between the level of noise it created, the street traffic from being right on the street front and the fact that your window blinds are pointless to block the blinding lights of the terrace, we got little to no sleep.
The constant flashing lights from the huge billboard across the road was particularly fun, as our room was lit up like a Christmas tree all night, even with the blinds fully closed.
To top it all off, we had paid extra online to book a breakfast package, as we were looking forward to a nice coffee and good breakfast in the morning, as part of our staycation. However, yet another disappointment, as when we returned from the concert we attended that night, there was a note on the desk to say due to the public holiday the following day, there would be no open restaurant and therefore, no breakfast. I assume not wanting to pay staff public holiday rates?
A bowl of basic provisions including a rock hard muffin, cold croissant and juice box were put in our fridge. No consideration for dietary requirements or thought to not being able to warm them up to even make them edible.
And in that note, upon returning from the concert at 10.30pm, the entire building was locked up. We had been given no instructions at checkin on how to access the building if an evening. After wandering around for a while and trying to work it out, we finally found door that worked when holding our room key near it. Too bad if you were older, had kids with you or had a few too many drinks, as would have been very problematic for some.
Absolutely appalled that we were not told of the aircon renovations or closed restaurant at the time of booking, so that we could make an informed decision on staying or not. We definitely would not have booked given the special occasion, had we known.
Also appalled at the noise, light, lack of service and location of the room we were allocated for $247.
Rather than post a review anywhere, or lodge a formal complaint elsewhere, I first contacted the hotel. That was Monday and they haven’t bothered to even acknowledge the email.
This completely spoilt our anniversary stay. The following morning we were both tired and regretful that we didn’t just go home, definitely not how we were hoping to be feeling. We also had to spend additional money to go and find coffee and breakfast elsewhere in the city, which meant paying the 15% public holiday on top.
Poor all round and would tell anyone listening, to avoid the hotel at all costs.
The odd good review are people that got lucky. Believe the bad ones.

Cutest little hotel in Perth. Rooms were sweet and functional. Breakfast was amazing. The staff were just lovely and the place is really central. I will stay there again.

Overall, this hotel is okay if you’re looking for a cheap place to stay for a night or two. The bathroom was clean and one of the better parts of the room. The food was pretty average, nothing special. There was no room service, which was a bit disappointing but no fuss at all.
The bed was comfortable enough once you found the right angle, but it wasn’t the most supportive. It’s fine for a budget stay, but I wouldn’t recommend it for an extended visit or a special occasion. If you just need an affordable place to sleep, it does the job, but don’t expect a luxury experience.

Abysmal experience! I would not recommend staying here
Christmas day guests were left to fend for themselves literally there was no-one to help with anything, disappointing
