Templer’s Mill Motel branded as Mercure

This Mercure is not normal. It’s Templers Mill Motel with the option to book via Mercure.
I’m writing this as I listen to my third hour of blaring techno from the club next door.
Any indication of ‘Restaurant’ online is a stretch. It actually means walking to the club next door, lining up to register with photo id and wading through pokies before you get a meal.
But you don’t have to register for breakfast! Just stand outside in the cold ringing the club door bell until you sneak in past a customer exiting instead. Don’t expect too much in the restaurant either.
Cleaning was also incomplete, with a towel left from the previous occupant on the back of the door, rust and an empty bottle in the shower. The room phone was also an outdated model that would briefly ring at random intervals. Tea and towels are not restocked.
All of this would be forgivable given the comfortable warm beds and decent location - lest the continuing rave with no staff or indication of when it will end in sight at the very club this ‘Mercure’ feeds.

The worst motel in Orange

3 day stay at the Mercure was a nightmare.
My room had a large fluorescent light outside and blinds that didn’t cover the window leaving the room in half light.
I had to turn the aircon off to get any sleep at all as it was very noisy.
The bed was so firm I woke up with a sore back.
There was no toaster in the room.
2 tea bags were supplied on the first day and not replenished over following days.
The fire alarm went off at 3am just to cap off a truely unpleasant experience.
I have stayed in almost every motel in Orange and the Mercure was easily the worst.
If you are looking for a descent nights sleep I suggest staying somewhere else.

Breakfast is eaten at the club, but the hotel charges more than the club.
Recommend not including breakfast.
