Stayed in a 3 bedroom penthouse for 2 nights with 3 friends. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Apartment was spacious, beds were comfortable and did have sea views over the lower buildings in front but was partly blocked by the taller ones. Apartment is starting to show its age a bit with the leather lounge flaking in patches and some stains on walls. Overall OK.

Airy, Large and Comfy Apartment but No Views
POSITIVES
Location & Convenience
• Very handy location: just a few minutes’ walk to Coles, The Pub Mooloolaba, and the Esplanade.
• Cute esplanade nearby with a mix of casual eateries, take-away, upmarket restaurants, boutiques, and gift shops.
Apartment & Comfort
• Large, bright, and airy apartment (Unit 703) with plenty of natural light.
• Comfy bed; the bedroom could be darkened with the blinds and curtains.
• The dining table comfortably seats six, with two additional bar stools at the kitchen counter.
• Two bedside tables, each with a lamp and a handy drawer.
• Two TVs: one in the lounge and one in the bedroom.
• Plenty of power points in strategic locations for charging phones and computers.
• Well-lit apartment for daytime reading (too dim for night reading).
• En suite bathroom with a solid locking door.
• Lots of cupboard and drawer space for storage.
Kitchen & Laundry
• Spacious, fully equipped kitchen.
• Modern and efficient Whirlpool dishwasher; a few dishwashing tabs supplied.
• Washing machine, dryer, and clothes hangar supplied with washing liquid sachets.
• Handy garbage chute just a few steps from the apartment door.
Security & Facilities
• Good security with fob access required for the building after hours and for the lift at all times.
• Adequate visitor parking, easy to access on arrival.
• Pool and well-equipped gym with toilets and changing facilities.
• Fast, reliable internet; simple access via a barcode scan without needing to enter a password.
Service
Darren & Melinda are super friendly and helpful managers. They were extremely accommodating and responsive to all our requests.
Deals & Extras
• 10% discount at The Pub Mooloolaba with room keys, plus other discounts displayed in the lift.
• 2-for-1 breakfast deal at the nearby Dune Restaurant.
NEGATIVES
• Kitchen missing oven gloves and a pair of scissors.
• Very small double bed in the bedroom.
• Small TV in the bedroom.
• No real view: mostly facing ugly high-rise buildings with only glimpses of the sea.
• Tiny car space, tricky to park a medium-sized car (we used undercover visitor parking instead).
• First Avenue is narrow and difficult to navigate due to ongoing road works and a constant stream of delivery vans and trucks.
• Monday mornings can be noisy with garbage trucks and sewage pumping starting around 5:45 am.
• Decor feels a little old-fashioned and tired; the apartment may be ready for an upgrade.
• Unfortunately, the beachfront area of Mooloolaba is undergoing extensive construction, with fenced-off sections, stark metal rails, and posts. The area looks ugly and disconnected - a real eyesore and distraction. Hopefully, it will be finished by next summer!

Apartment in need of serious maintenance
The reception staff were very helpful. However stayed in room 601 which is in need of adequate maintenance.
Worn and crubby carpet. Kitchen cabinet door structurally unstable. No aircon in individual room. No bedside table or lamp in one bedroom. Dining room chairs paddings worn out. There was no mop and broom on arrival.

The staff were exceptional, the room was clean and spacious, and parking was convenient. The kitchen was fine, but we did have to buy a decent frying pan and knife as the ones provided were not great. The bed could have been more comfortable, but it was acceptable. The best thing about the hotel was the excellent location one block off the promenade and a few blocks down from the surf club.
