A hotel with nothing but good vibes

Stayed for one night on a Saturday for my cousin's wedding. Upon entering the lobby/reception area was very modern and cozy with a little reading area and fireplace in the corner. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with unique aromatic amenities. We were allocated a room isolated from the rest and closer to the function rooms which was just perfect for us as our function was just outside our door. The location of the hotel is just across the road from the beachfront and bathing boxes. It is also only a few minutes away from a few well-known brunch places in the area. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much for them.
A special thank you to Bernie and Paul for looking after us during our stay. Will definitely be returning.

Terrible

Bathroom/toilet was dirty when we arrived. Like someone had used the toilet prior to our arrival. Thin walls -Could hear the person in the next room. Could also hear a loud generator or something that was so loud that we decided to check out at 3am as it was impossible to sleep.
Upon leaving we requested that management call us the next morning. Waited 4 weeks and never heard from them
Decided to email with my feedback/poor experience. Received a stock standard response and offer to upgrade on next visit (will not be visiting again so this isn’t helpful)
Requested a full or partial refund due to only being there a few hours and having to leave at 3am.
Was told they would not discuss a refund given that my partner had put a Google review (with what he felt was constructive feedback).
They tried to dismiss his review by saying it took us weeks to raise this. Well, I had a baby in that time, that night was supposed to be our last night as a couple (thanks to the hotel it was ruined). We had also requested they contact us and were waiting for them to do so (they never did). It appears they have now taken down his review which is disappointing.
Disgusting/non existent customer service. This is the worst hotel and most dismal customer service I have ever experienced. Sounds like they are focused on weddings which is great, but you can’t treat other paying guests poorly.
Would not recommend staying here.

Sunsets, water views and a pleasant change from the big chain hotels

We stayed at this lovely place a few days and enjoyed it very much. We were taken on a journey with its history and found plenty to do within walking distance, from the beach to the Brighton Church Street shops. Its a perfect blend of modernised re-furb with old-school hospitality in a private hotel. Makes a pleasant change from big chains where you can feel like a number.

Beware staying on a Saturday night.....This is a function centre with some rooms.

This Hotel was in an ideal location for us, opposite the beach. However beware staying on a weekend if you want a quiet stay. The noisiest function directly below our room involved a brass band. The room was cold and the heater wouldn't heat. They did give us a small heater though. The room smelt of bleach and there was no view.

This hotel is everything it’s advertised to be. Friendly staff, lovely big room, great amenities, right on the beachfront, fabulous restaurant. There are conference/ function facilities, car parking onsite, easy walk to the shops on Church St. we had the continental breakfast each morning. Highly recommended!
