Great hostel

Very nice hostel, good rooms, great kitchen and common areas. Mervin and his partner who run the place are very friendly and helpful, and they put in a lot of effort to make it an enjoyable place to stay. I think it's also the first hostel I've stayed at where they spread people across rooms instead of cramming as many into as few rooms as possible. Highly recommend.

Overall great experience, really can't complain. Rooms are clean, staff are friendly.
Only wish the tables outdoors were wiped down or had a hand brush handy to wipe the tree bits off.

The hostel was close to the bus stop and town which was really handy. The facilities were good and seemed clean. It’s a shame reception isn’t open for longer to be able to ask staff any questions.

Great facility - highly recommended as an affordable accommodation alternative

Staff are amazingly helpful and dedicated to their role. The YHA is maintained impeccably. Admin is always very responsive to any queries
Coupled with Larapinta Express the professional relationship between these two organisations is amazing and allows travellers to plan their Larapinta adventures with ease.

Dirty Sheets, No Air-con

We had to make our own beds in the room, a task which was difficult to do on the top bunk and exposed stains on the mattresses. The website also said there was air-con however we only had a stand up fan in the room which didn't reach the top bunks and made a clicking sound when it was on rotation mode (which was necessary for it to reach more than one person). Reception is also only open for 5 hours a day and proved to be quite inconvenient when we wanted to inquire about the air-con or having an additional fan. Whilst there was an emergency telephone number, the $20 fine for “non-emergency calls” discouraged us. Despite this, the kitchen was big and bathrooms were good.
