Quality accommodation in a 120 year old heritage home. Lovely views over the Mersey River and view of Spirit of Tasmania

You will be welcomed and shown to your beautiful room. Hosts are warm and nothing is too much trouble.
Breakfast in the dining room was excellent as was the decoration and setting.
Quality furnishings and fittings, you step back in time in The Grand on Macfie.
Paul and Brenden are rightly proud owners. Do yourself a favour and stay to see for yourself.

Breakfast was superbly cooked.
The hosts were absolute delight, and so kind.
Would highly recommend. As the bedroom is gorgeous, The furniture and the decorations so to speak were very high quality and beautiful.

This was an amazing B&B and equal to the best we have stayed in around the world. The owners are delightful and complement each other. I would definitely stay here again.

Amazing, romantic place

I’m always on the look out for truly romantic stays, and they are rare. But The Grand really is a romantic treasure. Not only is it full of old world charm, but it is totally peaceful, with large rooms, lovely new king size bed, everything is spotless and every detail is thoughtful. The hosts are charming and helpful, place is easy to find, lovely views and central to Devonport. Delicious breakfast included in the very modest price. We will be back!

This place is exquisite...the furnishings and decor are superb.Our bed was very high and very comfortable. Cooked breakfast was delicious. The hosts were friendly a d very accommodating.
